Inclined to agree. Case of letting the heart rule the head I guess. I don't think Leicester will go on to win it for what it's worth.

I used have conversations with a Chelsea mate of mine back in the late 90s and early 2000s about how the league was mostly won in April and May, when the wheat would be sorted from the chaff.

Before that there would be teams who were up there challenging, but that is the crunch time.

I think Leicester will fade then.

I've put my winnings from the Arsenal match on West Ham at 7/5........

Liverpool are playing a weakened team and you get the impression they're not that bothered about going out whereas West Ham are looking to win the Cup

That's a neatly practical way of looking at things. I pretty sure I would cash out and after reading that the guy has a fiance and a wedding to fund I think he should too.

But I'm not a Leciester fan and can't even begin to imagine the his delight if they actually pull it off and his bet comes in.

The best he can hope for is that the four teams below Leciester spend as long in European competition as possible so their resources get tangled up.

West Brom at Evens

they appear to be putting out a strong team and just heard Pulis say that they created loads of chances in the first game........different day, they might take some chances and Berahino plays

After my 2 football bets I'm Level........if this one loses I'll probably head back to the horses.........

I assume it's always 90 minutes..........well, this one was

Both my losing selections of the last few days ended up going through to the next round, but I assume you get much smaller odds if betting on 'overall result'

Yep you do. Saves on the nail-biting in the last few minutes of normal time though.

I normally avoid betting on United cos I don't want to jinx them but a £10 in-play bet on us now @ 11/15 is too good to resist. I think there are definitely more goals in this match.

Good start with Costa scoring which gets me a free £2 Paddy Power bet

Think I may have got my stake back now in free bets

Embarrassingly I have Newcastle +1 12/5 in this game as I didn't think Chelsea would be up for it with Tuesday in mind

Thank you

It should be 6-2 with the chances that have been wasted

I fancy a bit of fence-sitting today by going for 3 draws

Arsenal/Leicester
Villa/Lpool
City/Spurs

Trixie gives a 39 point profit and 2 right gives an 8 point profit

Just went on my bookies site with a view to backing Arsenal to win but they were quite well odds-on, around 4/7

I might back teams at a shade of odd-on like 5/6 but given I'm only playing with smallish stakes I'm not backing anything at 4/7

So I left it.........now all I need is for Leicester to win to vindicate my decision......

Shrewsbury are 7/1, 8/1 in some places (Bet365) to beat Man United on Monday, and 9/2 to draw. And I thought I got a good price on the Midgets to beat them on Thursday.

Man United SHOULD win this one, and while I haven't been keeping tabs on League One it doesn't look like Shrewsbury are in great form but with the way United are playing now I think it's worth a little punt.
