I got blocked from offers and price boosts from Paddy Power some time last season with no understanding as to why. Apparently some places ban you if it looks like you only use their offers. It might have been a couple top-goalscorer bets I placed, maybe they thought I was doing it for the £2 every goal offer. I didn't bother asking or challenging as I know it'd be a waste of time.

I wasn't too fussed at the time since I didn't bet with them often, besides the top-goalscorer. They were often outpriced. But with all these in-play offers I'm kind of tempted to setup a new account.

Quite a few of these price boosts and offers revolve around certain goalscorers or lots of goals. The first round of group matches are generally edgy as not losing is more important than winning, especially this tournament where finishing with 4 points, or in some cases 3 points, gets you into round of 16.. I think the SA WC 2010 had a crazily low number of goals in the early stages of games.

But second and third set of group matches should be more game on for goals and goalscorers.

Match 7 finally gave us the first margin of victory >1 goal. But still the 5th game under 2.5 goals in match (from 7 matches).

Although after typing all the above i've just found my Brazil 2014 World Cup wallchart and the first round of group matches had 13 of the 16 matches with 3 goals or more.

Bit of a difference, but possibly the biggest profit to be had out of all the choices if "Yes".

And i'd say with the players on the pitch, there's probably a higher chance of a scoring game as well.

I don't think any game has had both teams scoring in the first half so far. Just the opening games, of course, so might be different now.

I normally do BTTS first half with my in-play bet but I don't know if I'll go for that. As usual my pre-match bet will simply be BTTS.

Now that's just mean. I put my £3 free bet on Pelle to score the first goal and Italy to win 2-0 at 55/1. And he had to score the second goal...

The straight up BTTS pre-match at the moment is 1/1, which is tempting, but i'd want to offset it in-play with something decent.

I tend to go for the BTTS pre-match as like an assurance. Seems the safest way to make a profit.

It's too much of a big gap for me. Obviously if Wales pull it off i'll curse until kingdom come, but I always tend to assume the lowest possible payout and £5.50 isn't really worth doing, for me at least.

I'm not sure what to go for with the in-play offer. I usually do BTTS first half but there hasn't been a single game in the entire tournament where this has happened so far! Slightly tempted to go home-away double chance and then the draw in-play. £12.50 profit if either side win and £100 profit for the draw. I can actually see it being a draw.

I'd really like to know how widespread people getting pulled up for violating the T&C is. I've done every single offer for well over a year and have violated the T&C every single time. I've mates who do it too and don't know of anyone personally who have had any issues. All I've heard is claims on Twitter. I wonder how they actually check it too, it's clearly not an automated check else it'd find everyone.

On a side note, I've got a 80/1 acca that just needs Austria and Portugal to win today. The annoying thing is I did it to round my balance off and only put 40p on it!

I wonder if it's something as simple as a random sample of people who've done the offer ?. As you say, I can't imagine it's automated so maybe they pull X amount of accounts who have used the offer and check them ?.

You could always try Scooby's idea and do £50 pre-match on England or a draw for a £5.55 profit and £50 in-play on Wales for a £250 profit.

Keep looking at 365 and a draw tomorrow really is the desired result profit-wise.

£50 in-play will make you £160 quid profit if they draw.

Although, all things considered, if you're doing the pre-match double chance on England/Wales, it'll secure you a £12.50 profit.

But .........

If you do both teams to score in the second half, it's £60 quid for "No" so it's only £2.50 difference really, if you assume the worst case scenario.

£50 on "Yes" gets £216.66, so a £116.66 profit.
