This is the opposite of being wise after the event but everything I touched yesterday went wrong!

Doing a similar treble to Dave above and looking to get things back on track today.

I actually quite fancy St Johnstone today. 6/1 is generous for them given that Celtic have been out and about this week.

Fairly disasterous betting Sunday onwards and upwards .

Leicester 21/10 to beat Chelsea is generous

Had a free bet with PP and stuck it on West Brom to win for giggles. Wasn't giggling when Pool equalised.......

Leicester are a good price but I think I might take a risky punt and put £10 on both teams to score and Leciester to win. 6/1 ATM.

Had a bad day on the footy on Saturday, but a very good night on the boxing.

Yesterday, I had that rare bit of luck that I never seem to get, thought I'd backed ht Newcastle ft Tottenham, but backed ht Tottenham ft Newcastle, was very pleased indeed when I checked my balance

I had backed West Brom when they went 1-0 down, at 40-1 on the betfair exchange which was Huge!!! so the fluke on the spurs game took the sting out of the Liverpool equaliser.

Tonight will be on some ht/ft bets and fancy a few goals too

Did my champions league/Europa league double for the third season in a row same teams

Atletico Madrid 14/1 still capable of upsetting the big three
Sevilla 12/1 for the Europa league yet again.

I was two minutes from collecting on this bet in 2014, why did I not cover it when real were piling the pressure on in the last few minutes of that final I will never know

I will have to copy this bet DB. It makes a lot of sense.

I did the both to score/ Leciester win bet early today for 5/1 and I see Vardy has scored again! I put a joke each way bet on Leciester to win the PL two weeks ago at 100/1 (1/5 of the odds) for a few pennies, but the much more likely bet is Vardy to be top scorer. So far, this is the most unpredictable season I can remember......

I put £10 on Leicester to win and both teams to score at 9/2 on Bet365 (yep, I made a change from Sky Bet for once...even though I did Leicester to beat Chelsea on Sky Bet).

Just get a goal, Chelsea!

Looks like you are having a good day

Yes looks like atletico and Seville got favourable draws and it keeps a bit of interestgoing for the latter stages . Seville will be deadly series with the Europa as well

Errrrrr not yet. I'm chewing my fingernails like Munch. And just to be clear, I haven't bet on Vardy to be top scorer- I wish I had instead of punting on Leciester to win or get second in the PL.

And even if Chelsea do score I'd be worried they get another.... ohhhhh, why do I even bother betting

Munch, I bet a £10 as well so I've just covered myself by putting £5 on the draw @ 3/1 and a £5 on a chelsea win () @ 16/1. It'll eat into my profit if the score stays the same but you might want to do something similar.....?

Your bet sent me running to take a look at the CL/Europa odds and there are some pretty tasty combinations to be had in addition to yours TBH. The Europa is wide open and top favourite is Dortmund at a massive 6/1 +. Meanwhile if Arsenal (33/1+ ) do Barca, which is not the stretch it would have been just last season, that comp is wide open too. Think I'm going to have to take time to study the form and think about things....

The Champions League outright is a waste of time IMO. At the end of the day its a cup competition. Arsenal are 33/1 for good reason - there isn't really much to suggest that they will knock out Barca and even if they do they are still a long way from winning it. It looks attractive only because of how much it will come in if they do manage to cause an upset. You are also having to project form forward from now until Feb to even call the next round games.

Do it as a bit of fun by all means but its a huge stretch to put any sort of thought into it and expect it to pay off.

The only thing that instantly springs to my mind right now that may be value but I cant check is Chelsea on the basis that there is no way they will be in the same form come Feb that they are now. Something will have changed by then and there will be any combination of new manager/players on board by the time the next round comes along. I can see them worming their way haphazardly towards the final.

Beware the Europa League: Albanian side Skenderbeu stand accused of match-fixing following irregular betting activity in their 3-0 defeat to Lokomotiv Moscow on Thursday, with the second and third goals they conceded occurring in quick succession in the 88th and 90th minute respectively and looking decidedly soft.

Eddie, come on. Putting thought into betting and coming up trumps is one of my few pleasures in life - especially with the way United are playing at the moment - so don't deny me, please

That's a bit of a shout, especially now. they were 28/1 b4 Jose got booted. Probably still the same now. May change 2mmrw depending.

Speaking of which, Coral doing a good new customer bet offer of 6/1 Chelsea to beat Sunderland. Worth a bob or two, what with the new manager bounce and all that....

Hull
Fleetwood
Newcastle

Treble pays about 6/1

If the first 2 win , can work out how to cover the bet during the 5,30 live game
