I really hope it doesn't turn into a whodunit and I also hope they don't turn David into a killer. A possible hostage situation in the street as things come to ahead is a possibility.
Another hostage situation, just weeks after Leanne's "ordeal"

Callum and David - who even cares anymore? This has got to be the worst most drawn out storyline on Corrie for some years now. Callum about as menacing as the cat that used to appear in the opening titles years ago, and David "Daddy Daycare" Platt, who made an attempt at fleeing with the kids and got as far as Liverpool.

Having yet another death on Corrie will be so predictable. Turning 14 year old Bethany into a murderer, yeah hey let's go the whole hog, she's already drinking, doing drugs, sure murder is the next on the list. By her 1st year she will have packed in what it took Tracy Barlow ten years to reach.

The live episode is going to be a massive turkey.

As much ad I'mnot a great fan of Fiz I would prefer the live episode to centre around
Spoiler
& the whole community uniting in shock & helping her & Ty through it, than more sensationalist murder/hostage/whodunnit crap to be honest!! Stuart Blackburn's record on high drama in Corrie has been woeful so far & the fact it is Callum, one of the least convincing Corrie characters ever can only add to that!!
They can never hope to replicate the drama of tram crash week so ehy not concentrate on a community based emotional s/l for a change!!
After all we've already got the 'disaster' of Andrea & Lloyd leaving to deal with!!

He got a 1 year renewal on his contract around then.

Matt Smith said in a interview early in 2013 that he would stick 100% with Doctor who through 2014 and do a fifth year on the show. and then in June it was announced he had decided to step down as the Doctor at the end of the year. so it shows that actors can lie to the press to keep details about a show secret.

So maybe Sean has been told to say Callum is around for the forseeable even though he is getting bumped off soon.

if this was David from around 5 years ago he would have offed Callum stright away! SB has really turned him into a shadow of his former self unfortunatly. What ever happened to the David Platt who practicly smashed up the entire street after he found out about Tina abortion? we need that David back!

I reckon it'll be something predictable like David having a showdown with Callum, the latter bangs his head unexpectedly, David runs off in a panic and, in the mean time, Gemma turns up aggrieved with Callum and seeing her opportunity deals the killer blow. David arrives back later, finds Callum dead and mistakingly thinks he's the culprit.
Which would be a copy of the Carl King Storyline that Blackburn did on Emmie.

Chas hit Carl, knocked him out and then Cameron came and finished him off. Chas thought she had placed the killer blow.

I dont mind this David.. He is a father and family man so I think its good that he has matured a bit. I know that he still has that bit of anger in him with what he did to Nick after he found out about him and Kylie.

I dont mind seeing the progression of a character if its over a period of time. Its just when they change a personality overnight just so it can fit in with whatever storyline they happen to be running
