Assuming you want to connect to a HD TV by hdmi you need a micro HDMI plug to a standard full size plug.

eg

http://www.amazon.co.uk/1-5M-Micro-D...+to+hdmi+cable

You mean something like this?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/kenable-3-5m...dp/B00BG088FM/

And you can't use HDMI as the recorder will not have any HDMI inputs.

You can copy the digital files directly to a PC and burn them directly to DVD without using a DVD recorder.

You an create a DVD from the original files using a DVD Authoring Package like DVDFlick.

http://www.dvdflick.net/

You will lose a lot of quality recording from the camcorder analogue outputs.

Can you clarify the exact model number of the camcorder? Is it HMX-F80BP, ie this one?

http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/c.../HMX-F80BP/XEU

If it is then forget about any 3.5mm or 2,5mm jack to phono leads as it looks like the AV connector on the camera is some propriety jobbie and not a jack socket. Could be some variant of USB but not being used as a USB socket, not too clear from the manual images.

There is this

http://www.partmaster.co.uk/samsung/...el_ref=2617028

That does make it look like it's using a USB style plug.
