He really grown in the role of Ben, He's acting last week was good, I think he the best Ben we've had and the right fit.
Eastenders - Harry Reid
Loved his acting tonight, he really portrays the complexity of being both Beale/Mitchell well, what was always intended for his character, and evokes the sensitivity of the younger Ben we saw from Charlie but in a grown up, matured way. Harry and Jacqueline are the best recasts imo, they've really taken the younger characters we knew really well and developed them further into early adulthood successfully. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing him in Ben/Kathy scenes

I think the character of Ben will change for the better with the influence of Paul. Paul will gradually show Ben how to be at ease with and accept his sexuality. Time will tell

I'm probably in the minority but I preferred Joshua Pascoe's version of Ben. He was a better actor than this Ben. Plus I thought he had better chemistry with Phil and Jay.

I preferred Joshua too. Harry looks and acts too old to be a teenager.

Ben has been through a lot, and has therefore been forced to grow up a lot quicker than most so I think Harry has done a great job of portraying a mixture of the sweet innocence of Charlie Jones and the damaged/psycho of Pascoe. Harry is doing a great job and imo the best of the three
I think he'll be better with the Kathy reveal than Joshua as I think he has better chemistry with Adam/Ian. I prefer Ben this time around and in particular this week. Very Mitchell-like in the police interviews and I found him breaking down quite realistic. First time in ages I've felt sorry for him!

Once Ben comes out for the second time I hope HR channels in some of Charlie Jones' Ben. Vulnerability is a vital trait for Ben. Joshua Pascoe couldn't do that enough, Charlie Jones did it perfectly for innocent, child Ben. After these last 2 or 3 episodes, it seems like Harry Reid might just perfect it for older, experienced young adult Ben.
WIthout the glasses Harry Reid is really attractive!

I agree, I found it hard to see Charlie's Ben and Joshua's as the same character but I think there is a mix in Harry's. Hopefully he'll stick around.

He was excellent tonight- he was great yesterday too. I'm very impressed by him; he's settled really well into the role.
