Disappointing exit, Danielle Harold deserved better than that.

What was DTC problem with Lola?

she could at least have taken a bag of clothes for Lexi. The one small bag, she took, probably only holds a toothbrush & make up.

I wish she stayed. Even though the acting was great, the exit just seemed very sudden and rushed.

If it was personal DTC would have arranged for Bobby to kill her off. As it stands, Lola could always make a return down the line.

Look at Kathy, being dead didn't stop her from being brought back over fifteen years since we last saw her.

Made no ****ing sense and eas pointless. Jay going...that would make sense but not lola. Also it was entirely rushed and poor too. Dominic is an AWFUL producer like we've pretty much established a while ago.

So many bad decisions and favoritism really have shown how poor he is. He needs to be an assisstant and not in charge. Hes ruined so many character, underused more, had too mant slow introductions and development, blocked storytold and showhorned carters everywhere last year and shirley still this year. His favoritism and direction is killing the show. I have been loosing interest rapidly These past few months!

The only good he has done is inprove the likes of denise and abi, brought kathy and stacey back, made the police force fully fleshed characters, gave nick a fitting ending, axed dexter and the lucy beale storyline has been brilliantly acted even though killing her off was a mistake. Everything else is brought down to over expose/slow for took long/bad blocked storytelling or something else. The bad FAR outweighs the good. Rant over.

Decent????? Seriously??????

It was horrifically pathetic

DTC is shocking, the characters he doesn't give a toss about are just kicked to the curb like disregarded rubbish

That was so bad its unreal. I get that some people are saying that she wasn't a big character and wasn't on for that long but still its a missed opportunity, both for the character and future storylines. They should have had her head out to the Albert with Jay, Ben, Abi etc. And after some kind of argument Lola heads off into town alone and doesn't come back. Just disappears. No contact, no contact, no body, no witnesses. Not even the viewers find out what happened to her. This would be a baseline for so many stories... Billy and Jay's worry, Ben facing fatherhood, and then Abi's and Paul's adjustment. Lexi's upbringing without Lola or knowledge whether she is alive or dead... Could be another angle to Lucy's murder cover-up, especially if the Mitchell's were to believe Lucy's killer was responsible for Lola's presumed death down the line...

But no.... Off to Newcastle it is with the man she loves in prison for mugging....

It's not even about a massive exit or getting a theme, it about a plausible and satisfactory exit for the character, what they did there was just insulting, too the viewers, the actress and character.

She got a rushed and pathetic exit that didn't even make sense...on a Monday!

I'm sorry but DTC and the writing team should hold their head in shame and they deserve all the negative comments because it's lazy storytelling at it's worse.

Do actors at EastEnders just need to give one month's notice before leaving? Is that why so many exits are rushed? It's the only thing I can think of.

While we're on the subject, why didn't Cora move there when Tanya didn't come to get her a few months ago? She has deliberately made herself homeless when her daughter (Ava) and grandson are in Newcastle.

DTC never cared about her character so he wasn't exactly going to give her a better exit.”

I agree the exit made no sense why did she just leave Jay and not care he was arrested? Why is she still going to Newcastle?

That ending was so insulting. A stupid decision to axe her and an even stupider one to not give her the duff duff

Lola's exit was clearly written as an after thought. It's like one of the EE writers was in a pub and wrote it on the back of a bear mat. One moment she's angry and fuming with Billy for dobbing Jay in it then moments later she's smiling at him and talking about shining in Newcastle even though it's Billy she supposedly can't stand being around anymore. An insult to both Danielle Harold and the character of Lola Pearce.
