It was rushed, shoddy and made no sense.

Danielle and Perry did a fantastic job with poor material. I've loved their onscreen relationship, real emotion on show there and Billy will be very isolated in Lola's absence.

I think something happened offscreen as Danielle has only made fleeting appearances since last September. She seemed to be suspended at a similar time to Shona and both haven't appeared much this year.

Danielle is a talented young lady. I wish her well. The sky's the limit.

I agree Danielle and Perry showed the emotion even in with such poor material, I just can't fathom that they think that is a acceptable exit, Paul and his barnet got more screen time then her!, even if there was issues behind scenes there no excuse for it imo.

I just basically think DTC did not like Danielle Harold.

I'm expecting some kind of announcement today from EE that it was her exit, I know her departure was announced but we had no idea that it was last night that was her last episode (unless it isn't) which I highly doubt as it seemed pretty final.

Vaslav for the love of god DON'T start another one of your slanderous vendettas. You have no evidence that he didn't like Danielle, just like we have no proof that Newman didn't like Letitia Dean. Please drop this one.

That has to be one of the worst exits I have ever seen

They must have plucked that out their arse minute before filming

I think the treatment of the actress has been disgusting. She has barely been used for 18 months and then she gets a rushed awful out of character exit. DTC should be ashamed. I think that has just about done it for me regarding him. She isn't a carter and she is not Stacey Slater, therefore she is the antichrist. It's clear DTC hated the character from the start.

I never really liked her that much, but I do find it weird they are keeping a character like fatboy, but get rid of Lola who is a good part of the Mitchell family. I think the idea of killing her off like an earlier poster said would have been more interesting! especially if we never see her again.

I knew her exit would be a load of shit. She shouldn't have been axed in the first place. DTC may not have killed her off but I won't hold my breath for her return. What's the betting the Mitchells get a phonecall in the not too distant future about Lola's untimely death and Lexi coming to live with them?

Good luck to Danielle Harold. Hopefully she'll be appreciated elsewhere or better yet brought back when DTC leaves.

It's a weird decision. No matter how hard they try to force Cindy to happen a character like Lola had much more long term potential

soaps are infamous for dragging things out that should be concluded MUCH more quickly, they are equally infamous for compressing things in to one or two episodes that should take longer e.g. character decides to leave and is boarding a plane within one episode that covers a day or two. yeah very realistic, they've tied up all the loose practical ends of life e.g. putting property on market and arranged plane ticket etc all within a day.

I do think Cindy is a interesting character played by a capable actress, her s/l has mostly been Beale related relatively small, it's tough competition when there is a lot of young females on the show out-way the material they seem to be willing to give them and the focus of most of the year has been on one family.

It is slightly jarring though when we have the likes of Nancy who unbelievably appeared in 68 something episode this year tied third for most appearances and it feels like she done nothing and Lola who barely had anything gets dumped in such a disgraceful way they couldn't even give her a decent exit, says it all really.

I like Cindy and think she's been a successful addition to the cast but I have to agree about Nancy. She's a terrible character played by a terrible actress. And speaking of which - they kept bloody Abi over Lola? Don't even get me started on Fatboy still being a cast member and those awful Cokers and Hubbards.

I want to know how she got the money for a train to Newcastle. I make the trip all the time, and single tickets can run into the hundreds, esp last minute ones such as hers.

Until recently, she was working at Blades for a good while.

I wonder if Phil will ask Dean for the money back that he gave him to pay her wages at Blades?

Ugh Nancy does my bloody head in, all she does is stick her nose into other people's business. The actress is exactly like the one who played Carly Wicks - she just SHOUTS. ALL. OF. HER. LINES.

Can't believe a genuinely likeable character with buckets of potential (Lola) has been axed, and us lucky viewers get to keep the likes of Nancy, Abi, Tina, Sonia, Dean, Vincent, and the Cokers.

DTC never liked Lola and I wonder if it was because he disliked Danielle Harold.

Danielle was a good young Actress and her exit was a disgrace.

I agree. Cindy is too selfish and spoilt, which is why I cannot take to the character at all. Lola was a lovely character though. I will miss her.

Shona is getting more air time now though.

Decent????? Seriously??????

It was horrifically pathetic

DTC is shocking, the characters he doesn't give a toss about are just kicked to the curb like disregarded rubbish”

On the whole I thought it was decent yes.
I have seen worse and they could have just had Lola disappear and calling Billy to say she left (Off screen exit) at least Lola and Billy had some final decent scenes.

Barely. She's another great character that's been treated like an extra for years.

It was awful. Probably the worst thing to come out of DTC's reign - and I'm critical of a lot of it!

Just didn't make sense. She was the one reluctant to leave - she was sacrificing her life on the Square to stand by Jay... next minute Jay's arrested, she's still off anyway for a new 'better life' even though her fella's just been arrested? No word of where things stand between them now she's off. Off to stay with some random acquaintance who used to try it on with her.

Clearly they wanted rid of her quickly. Can only assume there off-screen issues. She was a good actress and with the limited material given to her a decent enough character who slotted in well. I'm not one of these hardcore campaigners but I do think it would be good if this decision was reversed and she was brought back.
