Lola had so much potential and so much they could have done with her. Yet I'm sure cause she wasn't his creation he didn't want to keep her which is a dam shame. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets rid of jai soon.

Yes he should bow his head to Internet warriors who think they know better.

I think it is a shame but I would not like the producer of a show to cave in.

If she's not going to do anything I'd rather her gone.

But that was a piss poor written exit.

You realise you are talking about a soap opera character? Why should anyone be ashamed?

It's an unpopular axing, DTC is full of himself you'll see when he axes more young quality and gets in actors like Kush for topless scenes.

He's short sighted, so much potential. Lola and Jay would have been a fabulous couple. And what a crap exit.

I think the bbc and eastenders expect their staff to act in a certain way, if they don't then like any other place of employment they get sacked.

The actress completely disappeared at the end of last year in the same way fatboy and dexter did when they were suspended

no one knows what has gone on but he certainly has nothing to be ashamed of

I don't remember Danielle Harold ever having a suspension?

To be fair, there's no suggestion that the actress has done anything wrong?

I reckon Paul and the Cokers will be high up the next EP's list of characters to be axed when they arrive.

they don't broadcast every disciplinary that happens you know and there were rumours arond the time because she just dropped off screen and had gone away with no exot or prior warning when she should of been part of scenes .

Its just my opinion of course but everyone is so quick to blame dtc and say he is being mean but who knows what went on

Sadly DTC made it abundantly clear he didnt want Lola by making sure she never had any scenes and has been that way ever since he became producer. It seems the only characters he wants in the show are boring ones.

Whatever your opinion of Hetti Bywater is as an actress, Lucy was a good young interesting character with plenty to offer. However he decided to sacrifice her and being back boring Sonia Fowler. Now he's done the same thing with Danielle. Good actress and Lola is another young character with plenty to offer and axed her so he can bring back the equally boring Libby Fox!

When you add that to the boring Martin Fowler, Paul Coker and Kush its plain to see he's only interested in having boring characters and sadly comes at the expensive of characters that do have something about them.

Same could be said for DTC. I mean we don't know the whole story here, yet the mob is out with their pitchforks.

I can understand people being upset by the characters exit but I think comments like "he should be ashamed" are over the top.

If it was an unpopular character nobody would be fussed about the axing.

Danielle should be well aware of the dangers that come with having an acting career. That's show business.

Yeah exactly.

I don't remember any outrage when Dexter was axed

Lucy wasn't axed for Sonia and I highly doubt Lola was axed to accommodate Libby's two episode guest stint.

Please. Get real.

When a character leaves a major soap usually news sources say if it's either a mutual decision between the actor and soap or if they've been axed. Strangely, the news sources don't mention whether Danielle was axed or left by mutual consent.

As far as I know the statement said something along the lines of "Danielle Harold will leave after Lola has been written out of the show" tends to mean a story/producer decision to write the character out.

Bless you if you think "Who Killed Lucy?" was crafted to allow room for Sonia and Lola has been axed after four years to accommodate a two episode guest star.

You're completely ignoring the other two dozen exits/entrances/returns we've had in addition to them.

BIB Where ? I saw someone speculating on here, and a few other people jumped on the bandwagon.....before you know it speculation becomes fact. Funny we didn't get these sort of rumours when Aleks and Charlie were axed, or all the other actor's he's given the chop to.

If he thinks the likes of Sonia, Paul and Kush are better than the three characters he's recently axed then I think he's wrong....very wrong.

No the storyline was a desperate attempt to raise viewing figures and well its kinda failed. In any event doesnt change the fact that most of the characters DTC has brought in are boring!
