No the storyline was a desperate attempt to raise viewing figures and well its kinda failed. In any event doesnt change the fact that most of the characters DTC has brought in are boring!
In your opinion they're boring.

Didn't fail at all. Led to one of the biggest week's of the shows entire 30 year history, and a fantastic flashback episode followed by a brilliant live. Story=success.

Same could be said for DTC. I mean we don't know the whole story here, yet the mob is out with their pitchforks.

I can understand people being upset by the characters exit but I think comments like "he should be ashamed" are over the top.

If it was an unpopular character nobody would be fussed about the axing.

Danielle should be well aware of the dangers that come with having an acting career. That's show business.
Oh true, I think but I don't think its fair to accuse DH based on conjecture either. No issue with the precarious nature of acting.

BIB Where ? I saw someone speculating on here, and a few other people jumped on the bandwagon.....before you know it speculation becomes fact. Funny we didn't get these sort of rumours when Aleks and Charlie were axed, or all the other actor's he's given the chop to.

If he thinks the likes of Sonia, Paul and Kush are better than the three characters he's recently axed then I think he's wrong....very wrong.
I actually prefer Kush, Sonia and Paul to Liam, Lola and Charlie

The thing is, when DTC arrived he cleared out the deadwood, he didn't axe Lola then but he could have easily done so. It doesn't ring true that he would keep her on but would then do nothing with her. Even minor characters such as Tamwar and Billy have been given a purpose even if they remain in the background. With Danielle being offscreen for so long, with them not giving a reason as to why she is leaving it does make you wonder if there is more to this that meets the eye.

Sorry but from reading many posts on here, alot of people think the characters i mentioned are boring. As for the ratings, their not even getting 6million viewers half the time. A sign of a good producer is getting good viewing figures all the time, not just for an occasional outlandish storyline.

The reality is, after a promising start, DTC is yet another failed EastEnders producer. I'm not going to pretend his era is worse than 2010-13 don't get me wrong, but that doesn't mean DTC isn't cack.

While its plausible that DTC just got bored, it Can also be plausible that there were other underlying factors that contributed to her exit. I see no harm in speculating other reasons for the departure.

I have never actually been impressed with her acting, but then I've never been a big fan of the character anyway. She was harmless enough as a background character but she certainly wasn't worthy of a big dramatic exit or Julia's theme,

She made weaselly Billy slightly more interesting damnit!

I liked her dynamic with the Mitchells. The innocent in a den of depravity. Couldn't bear her love life stories though!

Ds doesn't represent the wider public.

Yes, because all of the soaps get ridiculous live episode style viewing figures all year around and especially in the middle of summer.

Bless.

Perry must be a recurring character these days, he rarely appears which I think is a shame.

That happens with all the youngsters, it's only ever sex sex sex with all of them, Mary Whitehouse would have a fit.

Enough tho to get an actress sacked from her job before she'd even started it lol.
