Is Max going to set Abi up?

He clearly thinks it was Abi. He probably thinks that is why she dropped him in it with the police - to protect herself and Ben. So Bobby has killed Lucy, ruined the Beales, the Mitchells and now the Brannings.

I don't understand why Abi thinks it was Max after he accused her? He's not that clever to try and trick her like that

I think the truth will come out at christmas or when Bobby's older. If you can remember the flashback episode Max was coming towards the gate so I think he knows the truth or else he thinks Jane did it become maybe Jane didn't tell him the truth either like us viewers thought before the flashback episode aired who knows what Max knows. EastEnders is doing this storyline brilliantly because if you can remember also the Baby swap storyline the story writers wanted to keep that story on for years and people complaint about that storyline so now they have a storyline that they can keep going on for years to come.”

I think Jayne believes Bobby killed Lucy but he only hit her and somebody else came in before Jayne and finished her off, I always thought it was max who went in to the house as you see him hanging about outside, but now I wonder if he saw the other person go in to the house, maybe Abi, and she is not going to give herself up to save Ben but would sacrifice her dad after everything he did to hurt her over the years

The story has been set up that we know what the Beales think happened, they could have it wrong, remember you never saw what happened

So Bobby hits Lucy with the music box, rings Jane, watches Abi come in and finish her off and then forgets to mention it to Jane when she comes in to find the body?

"Oh by the way Abi just came in and booted Lucy in the head but I think she's ok"

I thought Max thought he was covering up for Abi. You may be right.

Can't see max grassing his daughter up in the way she did to him

This storyline still grips me after all this time but worried about the long term effect this will have on ians character, not bothered about jayne she hasn't been in it as long, I can't imagine adam Woodyatt is delighted about these current developments for his character

On another note though anyone else think tonight when he visited carol he looked a dead ringer for Jim Davidson

To be honest I've just had enough of this story now. I don't even care anymore who the killer is. I don't want a story that goes on for years because I start to lose interest. Wrap it up now and move on to other stories before we as viewers leave
Marsh.

We know who the killer is.

The story is not a whodunnit anymore.

Did Killer Bob even hit her? Maybe they argued and Lucy collapsed from all the prior head trauma that Walford Nick have failed to pick up on. The fact that he was holding the jewellery box just led Jane to assume it was the murder weapon. It would explain why Bobby is unsure whether Lucy's death is his fault.

Although I had enough conviction that he dunnit to have had a nice little win at the bookies, can you imagine the shitstorm if Ian and Jane have been handwringing over what to do for months and it turns out he didn't even clout her?

Tracy, Whitney, Winston and Dr Legg come in in a conga from Ronnie's party and join in?

There is huge mileage in this story yet if max is leaving for a year and also it will have some involvement in the return of lauren

There will also be Lauren confronting abi when she returns quite possibly Halloween being revisited

He had a weird crush on her according to the flashback which could have been an interesting aspect to the story and for Billy's character.

But much like all of his stolen post, it was forgotten beyond being a red herring they weren't interested in fleshing out.

I wonder if he's guessed it was someone in the family, perhaps merely from him seeing the door wide open that night.

Spoiler
Or maybe he really does think it was Abi [who made it very clear to everyone how much she hated Lucy].

And there was uproar during Live week in one of the Live ending scenes where he said to Abi 'I know who killed Lucy' or something similar & everyone was wondering if he said 'who' or 'you'

Jane. Due to the car being missing from outside the Beale house or something.
Then she met her in the park and Jane confessed everything.
