What is the quality of the picture of bt sports on the bt starter tv box. I understand that it is streamed to the box.

HD should be indistinguishable from Freeview or satellite HD and SD is slightly better (than FV/sat SD). No buffering, no skipped frames, their multicast TV channels are a World apart from old-style Internet (unicast) streaming. No recording though on their starter boxes, just Live pause/rewind IIRC.

Thanks for that. There is a good offer on at the minute. I am currently on virgin 100mb at the min but wondering how much we would notice the drop to 38mb. I also have found the customer service shockingly bad in the past. I cant afford to get BT sport on Virgin as this is part of their big kahuna package so isn't cheap. I have now tv and have bought sports passes before but find the slight judder from the 60hz output off-putting when trying to watch a match. Thought bt infinity 1 might be the answer.

Depends how many devices you have connected at once i move from vm 152mb to plusnet 38mb i have a ps3, pc, laptop, firetv all connected at same time with plusnet tv running and haven't noticed any difference at all between the two.
