EastEnders: Les Coker & Bobby Beale

Hmmm, I'm not really buying into Les having an affair with Claudette at all, it seems far too obvious and passionless. Is Les actually the transgender character we've been told is coming into the show and Claudette is the only person who knows his secret, hence their secret meetings, his gifts of affection to her, and their trip away?

Also, I'm confused about the Bobby Beale psycho murderer plot. When it first happened it was suggested that Lucy received several blows to her head before dying, Bobby's attack on her being the blow that finally killed her off. Without the other blows she probably would've survived. Am I right?

Now is seems he's a snarling psychopath in the making with Damien-like tendencies, shouting "Kill, kill, kill!" at his Playstation games, threatening Phil with a golf club, and basically being a ticking time bomb. I swear the make-up department are even slightly darkening his eyes to make him look even more sinister.

Has this plot changed direction or have I missed something, probably having dozed off or logged onto Youtube to watch something far more sensible and realistic, such as skateboarding dolphins or ice skating tortoises.

Please enlighten me...

In regards to Bobby, he didn't mean to kill her but he still obviously had unresolved problems to attack her in such a way after barely being provoked. He didn't purposefully murder her which is why Jane etc are protecting her, but clearly what he did was not normal behaviour for a child of his age so it makes sense that he would continue to show psychotic tendencies, which isn't too surprising considering the upbringing he's had.

The skateboarding dolphins are almost as fantastic as Easties aren't they, but not quite they don't have as many murderers amongst them, I mean lets see who is there in EE, there's Stacey who bumped off Archie Mitchell, Ronnie did away with Carl White, Bobby ended Lucy's reign as head bitch, Pam slayed her son and of course double murderess queen of 'em all Dot who did us all a favour by dispatching her son Nick and 15 years earlier finished off poor Ethel and the Philth think's he's king of the square pffft where did he get that idea?

Yes, I imagined the storyline was about protecting an innocent young boy from the awful truth about his actions.

But it seems it's now about a murderous blood thirsty child.

DTC said early on they were doing a 'We Need To Talk About Kevin' style storyline and that's exactly what we're getting, with parents so determined to 'protect' their son that they're ignoring that he has a list of issues a mile long and needs serious psychological help.

I stopped watching EE for years but I've had my eye on what was going on. So what exactly would have Bobby witnessed that has made him such a psycho? Ben Mitchell I get it, the bullying and thug life of his dad has no doubt scarred him for life. But Bobby seems to have spent half his childhood upstairs, pushed out the way. A lot of arguments have gone on over the years between Ian and his kids, but that happens in all families I'd say.

This plot makes no sense to me, being shoehorned in for the sake of a sensationalist storyline. And if only the actor who plays Bobby wasn't so stage school. Why can they never find kids who can act?
