He also greeted Margaret Mountford by her first name "Hello, Margaret".

"Do you normally greet people you've never met by their first name?" asked "Ms Mountford" caustically.
"Sorry, I just feel that I know you" said Stuart sheepishly.
"Ahh... but you DON'T know me" replied Margaret.

Or words to that effect.

RIP Stuart. Gone, but most certainly not forgotten.

Now that annoyed me, because on every other occasion the candidates have been allowed to call the interviewers by their first names, even if they don't know them. It has even happened on other occasions with Margaret - in Series 8, Nick called her 'Margaret' and she didn't tell him off for it. I thought she was just trying to show Stuart up, I didn't think that was fair.

I thought Margaret was a terrible interviewer anyway. Things were a lot better last year without her there, I thought Ricky did a much better job.

Margaret was certainly better as an aide - in fact, she was genius in that role

Nick would be on first name terms with her though.

Let's honour Stuart by remembering his best bits

I don't mean advisor Nick, I mean Nick Holzherr. He was a finalist in Series 8, he called her by her first name in the interview and she didn't seem bothered.

Stuart: Dan, how much did you actually sell?
Dan: What I did was I led the team [blah blah blah]
Stuart: [mimes calculator] So that's, on a calculator... zero?

I love Stuart Baggs for me probably the "best" candidate for entertainment value. Such a shame to see his passing at a young age

Here is a compilation of his time on the show:

P.S. Didn't realise that he and Joanna were on an episode of Pointless a few years ago. And he was made the comedy villain (to the audience) by the editing team, as it was very clear that the candidates themselves disliked someone else far more.

A strange lad but how sad he's gone at such a young age.

I realise that this joke may be slightly distasteful, but imagine how ironic it would be if Stuart had been run over by a number 6 bus...

I would imagine Stella as she didn't seem to get on with quite a few of the others in the last few weeks, but I don't know for definite.

Oh Stella without a doubt, Stuart was well liked...but obviously a buffoon and of course at that time, couldn't possibly win the show.

But the 27 year old Stuart really looked like he could have gone on the show again and won! Brilliant that he didn't let his experiences as a national joke ruin his career. Such a shame this.

There have been many winners that I didn't think should have won, but Stella has been the only winner who I have actively disliked. This was before it all came out about her suing Lord Sugar; I just thought there was something quite spiteful and unpleasant about her. I get feelings like that about people sometimes. I'm not surprised that the other candidates didn't like her.

Yes Im gobsmacked. Its just not something you expect these days.

Agreed about entertainment value, he was just perfect for the format. Didn't Lord Sugar lose it a bit with him at the end if my mind isn't playing tricks? I think he went a bit over the top with the criticism.

Yes, Lord Sugar lost it because it came about that Stuart's telecommunications company wasn't 'fully licensed' in the way he had implied, but that the sort of license he had was something that was easy to get if you had a bit of money.

I don't think it was that exactly that Lord Sugar was annoyed about, it was the fact that Stuart wasn't entirely truthful. If he'd immediately clarified the technicalities I don't think it would have annoyed him so much, but when the interviewers confronted him with that he dodged the question as much as he could, which made Lord Sugar think that he couldn't trust him. He was also annoyed because he'd let Stuart stay over Liz the previous week (which is the second and so far last time in the programme's history that Lord Sugar has openly regretted a firing, the other occasion being Miriam in Series 1).

I thought this was some sort of poor taste joke thread when I wandered into the forum. Very sad news and such a shock when he was so young. He was definitely one of the standout candidates from the show, love him or hate him

RIP Stuart and condolences to family and friends.
