The price always falls,it being an artificial contract price. Once upon a time, in the boxing day sale Three would offer the latest Samsung on all you can free for £15 a month.

Price falls are little different to any other year.

I think those looking for a high end device may be getting fed up with buggy software, bloat, slow software updates -- at least I know i am.. So after s2/3/4 I skipped on the 5/6 & am now thinking iPhone.. the other alternative would be the very capable cheaper contenders closer to the 300 mark... Samsung don't have the cost appeal of the latter, or the quality/currency of the former...

I got a Galaxy Note 4 just before the Note 5 came out. I really wanted the stylus, but the removable battery and SD cards were things I wanted as well. I haven't got round to buying an extended battery yet like I did for my S4 because the Note 4 is so big already that I won't be able to fit it comfortably into my pocket if it gets any larger.

ANYWAY, I think I will be done with Samsung after this phone (which I'm hoping will last a good long time as I love it). If I can live without a stylus in future, then the high spec low cost phones have massive appeal with the right sim only deal. My friend showed me her new Nexus phone with vanilla Android and lightning speed, and it's beautiful. If I hadn't wanted the stylus....

The Samsung bloatware is annoying as hell, to say the least. Really hoping that the day will come when we can properly delete it from our phones without having to root.

I don't like the curved screen.

The larger iPhone screens have probably turned doubters of screen size to Apple now. 4.7 and 5.5 probably meet everybody's needs.
