Very realistic dialogue but still shocking to see the BBC allowed that to stay in.
Good on them!

All the overprotective mothers with little darlings will be out on full force to Ofcom.

Good to hear more realistic language being used.
I rewound that part tonight and thought after that actually there was no other word to use.

There needs to be more swearing in soaps. It's really distracting when characters avoid swearing by talking like kids. I especially hate it when someone says backside instead of arse. Arse isn't even a bad swear word

Go Carol. Please call Max more names in the future.

So realistic. But sadly you will get the stupid deluded mothers who "Don't want their little darlings to here that" and the smarmy little do gooders complaining to OFCOM. Pathetic.

I don't know why but I had a really weird feeling that there would be some swearing in tonight's episode, I can't explain why, just a feeling...creepy!

It didn't faze me the slightest. You hear swearing everywhere these days and I find it really pathetic when people complain because it was said on TV. But knowing some people, here come the Ofcom complaints...

I've heard arse on The Jeremy Kyle Show before.

I've heard Jeremy say backside instead of arse a lot of times. Not that I watch that show

If it's allowed on daytime tv, I wonder why soap characters say things like "pain in the backside" all the time.

I had exactly the same! It was after watching Hollyoaks and hearing Nancy call Sienna a psychotic bitch it made me think how I'd like to hear more swearing and natural scripting in EastEnders.

I wish they would swear more, it suits EastEnders imo.

They've got Ofcom on speed dial, but I've got a solution let Carol deal with 'em

Her wording was justified in the context it was used.

Bizarrely, I think that swearing in soaps was far more common in the 80s and 90s than now!

Bastard though with the way Max has behaved over the years then C**T would have been more accurate.

I swear that Mick called Dean a bastard a few months ago, but I can't recall the scene.
