As others have said, apart from the momentary satisfaction of seeing Pete try and think, what would that get Ross? Debbie might decide to switch again if Pete isn't an option but it's a pretty big gamble. (No wait, Debbie couldn't cope with being single for five minutes...Yeah, she'd switch again. Still not particularly flattering to be her last port in a storm though.)
