This is exactly why the show is better without Battle of the Block. They're nominated and immediately know that at least one of them will be sat on a nomination chair for the eviction - and they react accordingly. With battle of the block being nominated is less of a blow and by the time it is confirmed they are a final nominee they have had time to adjust to the possibility.
