Amy is supposed to be spiky and hard, due to her history, so I don't think she's supposed to be that likeable, especially with this story. She's one of those parents who can't see when their kid is causing trouble, due to being very over protective.

I find Sheila more unlikeable, and she has no reason to be. I think she's handled the blackmail badly.

I like the actress but the character is a bit harsh.

I wonder if Amy's Mother Nina will make an appearence?
