I have been having problems with both connectivity loss and downloading files from a number of sites, on 3 different laptops in the house. Most recently, I have been trying to download and install the .Net framework from the Microsoft site but the download fails repeatedly.
Other laptops in the house frequently lose their internet connectivity, even though the wireless connection to the router is up and the router itself shows itself as connected to the internet.
BT telephone support advised that it was likely due to a problem with my laptop, and that I probably also had too many devices connected to the router (2 laptops and 3 phones in this case), but clearly that wasn't terribly well informed feedback!
Any ideas if there's anything that can be done from this end to resolve it? I have tried power cycling as well as a full reset of the router, but the problems persist (and have done for a couple of weeks).
I have the BT Infinity service, and an OOKLA speed test indicates download speeds of 30Mbps, which looks fine. The router is a Home Hub3 - Type B.
