I really hope it doesn't happen. If Sam needs to come back, I want it to be Kim Medcalf.

A one off episode with Peggy and Grant would be fine but I don't want her staying.

Actresses aside, to be honest I'm not that keen on the character. I've never especially thought "oh yay Sam's in this scene".

I don't think they'll ever have her back after her behaviour over the last year. I would be extremely surprised if they ever took her back.

Let's not forget she was fired from hollyoaks just weeks ago before she even filmed any scenes!

I think they'll recast her if they bring 'Sam Mitchell' back.

I don't like to be mean, but they would be mad to employ her. She had a contract at HO and as far as I can tell just didn't bother to turn up to film. Way too risky to take her on.

Anyway, the Mitchells are a tired old family. Who cares? They'd do better to create some interesting new younger characters.

We have Ronnie and Roxy at the moment so I don't think a Sam return is necessary.

Daniella Westbrook has personal life issues but I'm not sure if she will be reliable if she has been asked to come back. Daniella was supposed to return to Hollyoaks but she breached her contract and she has done a few controversial stuff this year.

I prefer Kim Medcalf's Sam but if Daniella Westbrook returns, then I hope her acting improves. I thought she was abysmal in her last stint.

I thought bringing Daniella back regressed the character of Sam.

I still think a job share could work. Westbrook could film Mon-Weds, so Kim Medcalf can have a few days off, then Medcalf can film Thurs-Sat, so Westbrook can go out and get coked up and sell stories to papers at the weekend.

While I think Daniella Westbrook did okay in her most recent stint, I vastly prefer Kim Medcalf in the role. That said, Sam really isn't needed in EE right now. A temporary stint might be all right, but nothing more than a few episodes.
