Such a shame the way her life has gone. I remember when she first arrived in EastEnders. Sadly with her now back on the gear due to the breakdown of her marriage apparently, there is no way she's gonna get work. She needs to get clean and stay clean.

I haven't seen EE in many years, but they would be mad to re hire Danniella, well certainly not until she's clean again, unless they want a repeat of what happened in the 90s.

I enjoyed Daniella's 2009 stint, the dynamics in the vic at that time were perfect, Sam, Peggy, Phil, Roxy, Ronnie, Archie, Ben etc.

Remember the scene where the clan all got baseball bats and used them to force Phil into a locked room in the vic for a week to get him off drugs. Then Stacey thought his voice calling for help was Archie's ghost etc..

I hope the change of Danniella Westbrook returning is approximately the same as that of Joe Swash (Mickey Miller). I.e. completely zero!

When even Hollyoaks decided to scrap her comeback as that Trudy women or whatever her name in it was, that should be a sign to keep her away from TV.

For me Sam will always be defined by Kim Medcalf in any meaningful way. Bring her back in the future and I can live with the presence of Richard Branning (her son). Most of the kids on EE don't even appear that much.

I liked Sam a hell of a lot more than Ronnie and Roxy. I'd take either version of her back in place of those two but I think we all know Daniella Westbrook won't be making a comeback any time soon. Kim Medcalf's version of Sam was one of my favourites during the early to mid 2000's. I hated that she wasn't brought back.

Kim Medcalf is the only good Sam. Danniella was just horrendous last time.

I think the time of Sam Mitchell as a main character is past. The very different approaches to portraying the character by the actresses have made the character very inconsistent..

I wouldn't be against a guest stint though. It would have to be Westbrook who returns as it wouldn't be very credible for the actresses to swap again. I'd rather the character not return at all if that was the case.

I think her future is doomed and she'll use her notoriety to try and snag a millionaire boyfriend / husband to a) keep herself in the media and b) live a rich lifestyle that she likely had when she was in Eastenders. If I was a rich and famous man I wouldn't touch her with a bargepole especially as she would spunk any money on drugs. I didn't like her acting in Eastenders at all. I remember her screwing her face up and I was thinking how awful she looked. She's got problems with drugs and there's no way she'll get any more TV work now let alone Eastenders.
