For a storyline like this to work you have to care about the character majority of viewers don't. Let's hope Eastenders have learnt their lesson from the god awful baby swap nobody wants a repeat of that again.

Are the results of this survey available to view online?

I personally will be seriously pissed off if Kush goes running after Stacey amidst all the still born tragedy. It doesnt make sense for the character to do that (didn't make sense to have the affair at all in my opinion).

Even though I prefer Kush/Shabnam to Kush/Stacey, I think as a viewer I would respect Kush/Stacey more if they have him be dutiful, the Shabnam relationship break down naturally due to grief and then after a reasonable time have a kush/stacey thing... as opposed to "kush and stacey cant leave eachother alone bla bla BLAAAAAAA".

Like some others I wish it was Stacey's baby and not Shabnam's that was stillborn. Shabs deserves a second chance.

And if Kush goes running off to Stacey I will be less than impressed........

I would also love to see Zainab return to support Shabnam but I won't hold my breath.

Not sure why people think Stacey deserves to lose a baby more than Shabnam. Nobody made Shabnam get rid of her kid. She made that decision herself. I feel bad for Shabnam losing her kid, but neither her, or Stacey deserve to lose a child. Nobody does.

I agree. I don't think that they should have made Shabnam and Stacey pregnant, at the same time. If they really had to do a pregnancy plot, they should have just made Shabnam pregnant. It would be more interesting, seeing her deal with motherhood.

Hopefully she'll become eager to reach out to Jade. She felt nothing for her when they met, but maybe this will put things in a very different light. The girl is probably better off around Shabnam than Shirley.

I think Rakhee Thakrar has been a really good recast and she has made Shabnam relevant. She has been a really good addition to the show and I look forward to her doing this storyline justice, and at the end of the day if she does the storyline justice that's all that matters no matter our opinion on whether this is the right story or not. If the story is well acted and portrayed honestly it is the right story even if people on here are quick to criticise even before the story has played out.

This could be a fantastic storyline. I'm sure they've learned their lesson about baby swap, and this will be sensitively handled. I imagine both Shabnam and Kush will see it as a punishment- Shabnam for abandoning Roya and Kush for his messing about with Stacey, so that should be interesting.

Main thing I'm looking forward to is Nitin Ganatra's acting. Unpopular opinion, I know, but I'm not a fan of Rakhee Thakrar's acting (though think new Shabnam is a well-written character) so I'll reserve my judgement on that. And while I think Davood Ghadami is fine, I'm not sure he's been stretched so it'll be interesting to see how he handled such a challenging story.

I will find it hard to suspend my disbelief that Zainab won't be there when it happens if she's not- or Syed, for that matter. I normally make allowances for it, but missing weddings is one thing; your mother/sister having a stillborn baby and you not visiting her is another. Will it be explained that they haven't been told about the pregnancy? Hopefully Nina Wadia will make a surprise appearance because it will genuinely make no sense if Zainab's not there even if it's only a few episodes. Though it can't be helped if Nina's not available.

How horrible When is Shabnam due? Probably won't be on screen for another good few months. I think this will be a very powerful story though, (hopefully it'll make up for the baby swap catastrophe!) this could be the catalyst for Shabnam to reach out to Jade.

Nina was really busy during the first half of the year with a number of projects. I just hope DTC reaches out to her for a possible return, with her schedule permitting of course.

She recently posted a selfie on Twitter with Marc Elliot (Syed) and Himesh Patel (Tamwar) so I assume she's still in contact with them.

It's on screen, later, this month.

I know, that's what's made me think she may not be coming back. Nitin did say a while ago that both Nina and Marc weren't coming back for this story- but he sounded a lot more sure about Marc than Nina (he said 'definitely won't be' wrt Syed coming back) so fingers crossed he's just keeping an embargo. I was absolutely positive at the beginning of the year Zainab would be back, now I'm really not sure.

DTC must have reached out to her? He's, like, the Comeback King. If he's having Libby of all people back, then I'm sure he's reached out to Nina, who is the only departed character (imo anyway) whose absence is really noticeable. I think the only thing stopping Zainab coming back will be Nina's schedule. I'm pleased she's doing so well but gutted she might not be able to make even a brief return because she's so busy.
