What was the point in this? Its almost been a year scene he made his brief appearance in the square, but nothing has come of it. Does anyone know if he is returning? I thought surely something would come of it

I've been thinking the same thing. I was expecting him to make another appearance which could have led to possible scenes with him, Stacey and Whitney but it's been months. And now that Stacey has developed a relationship with Martin as well as expecting a second baby along with Whitney moving in with the Carters, I get the feeling that he's not coming back afterall.

Maybe he was meant do but plans changed? I still don't know. I would have liked to see him again but I just can't see it happening right now.

Yeah, that scene still bugs me. Makes me wonder if something was planned and it was changed.

If it's not addressed in time, it'll probably never be picked up again. Especially if Whitney and Stacey move on/leave in the future.

maybe when Carol leaves Whitney will decide to track him down

It's very strange that they just had him come back for that. I can only think something was planned relating to Stacey or Whitney but they decided not to go ahead with it.
