Not on BT Sport but some good motorsport choice on Freeview today
And over on Eurosport 2 there is BSB.

Non. I would say as suspect that space has been sold and well remember BT are probably paying for the cheapest bit rate possible.

I wonder if the ITV4 coverage of the BTCC will benefit from the move as well? Never realised the restricted coverage of ITV4.

I just wished Eurosport thought about going FTA on Freeview. I suspect they could make a fair bit back from advertising subs.

Until I got BT TV with Eurosport bundled in I used to subscribe to Eurosport Player. No recording facility but it does have a very useful three hour chase play facility which gives you a fair bit of flexibility in in managing to watch as live or to catch one of the highlights programmes at your convenience. If only BT Sport offered that too, I would be able to keep on top of all the MotoGP practise sessions more easily while out and about.

In fairness I wouldn't mind paying for Eurosport if it was a channel on Freeview you could just opt into. More linner with an LCN - Motors IP style if it was done, rather than via an App.

Notice how low key the PR of this match is tonight by BT. Clearly as I suspected this channel is their because it has to be and they aren't going out of the way to advertise free football.

Well every fear I had about BT's FTA coverage has come true, so I think I'll stick with the highlights in HD on ITV later.

Thanks UEFA.

BT are saying "Watch Club Brugge vs Manchester United exclusively on BT Sport Europe". False advertising, I'd say.

They don't care as its not in their interest to tell people its free. They have done their bit and put the game free.

Was it bad as I've not even bothered watching it?

Hi clewsy the PQ seem a lot better also it was in full and wide screen it was a good free game to watch.

And that was the first live sports on this channel.

That's good that it was fine for you. Loads of plugs for watching Utd on the paid BT Sports channels?

I suspect that is the only time people will see utd in Europe this year.

Took a quick look out of curiosity and it looked bloody awful to me. Exactly what I expected from a low res, low bitrate Com mux channel. Completely unsuitable for sports like football.

I was hoping that they'd unencrypt the channel showing the game on satellite. At least then the PQ would have been tolerable. But alas no.

Yeah they won't do that as they don't want to promote sky as a viewing platform. They are making the move to try and break it.

I'm surprised of the PQ was decent as like you say the bit rate is more motors TV than ITV4. Its just ticking a box and hoping to drive more over to BT TV / Broadband.

That's not technically true. People report BTs SD and HD is a higher bitrate than skys.

Also much is down to broadcaster, like Motors TV on Freeview looks better than the sky version, so must be slightly higher bit rate.

I put it on the Pub's tv last night and was pleased to see it there (I thought a rescan might have been necessary).

Unsuprisingly, no one had any clue that this would be on. The LL was happy, kept a few in for a bit longer!

Why BT webiste don't show tv listing for free BT SPORT SHOWCASE channel?

So, if there isn't to see, maybe here somebody will post nearest broadcasts which is going to be on that channel?

I know tomorrow will be S01E01 Fear the Walking Dead. But I don't know what's gonna be next

Well there are some nice naff ties that I can see heading towards showcase. It's much harder picking naff ties for TV that picking the decent ones.
