I for one don't care about it anymore, I've watched perhaps one CL game this season. I'm also over the Premier League.
If their greed leads to mass apathy they deserve it. |

Thanks to all posting the showcase schedule, if it wasnt for here id not find out about it, BT make it very hard to find out whats on. Looks like they are only televising non english teams unless they have to ie final or both english in semis. Good job Ive got a foreign motorised dish W9 swiss is televising man utd v liverpool FTA on 5e

Leaves 4 Europa and 3 Champions League (including finals) With six rounds of regular Aviva Rugby, think 3 more games to come. Is the Final going to be FTA? |

Another game on BT Sport Showcase that will attract dismal viewing figures. I don't really see the point of the channel to be honest. It is a waste of time and money and if they aren't serious, BT should just pull it and put everything behind a pay-wall.
I'd also like to raise attention to this link: http://sport.bt.com/sport-football/n...11363994266246 It says all British sides, Liverpool, Tottenham, Celtic and Champions League drop-outs Manchester United will be shown at least once! So they have failed to meet their criteria then of showing Manchester United free in the Europa League presuming they don't turn things around against Liverpool on Thursday night. |

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/...-viewing-figu/ It's not in BT's interests to actually advertise the channel, hence why they leave announcing which games they will show FTA to the last minute - after the listing magazines' deadlines (although I notice What's On TV do make a concerted effort to mention any they are aware of). As it isn't a full channel and only shows the odd game, that also limits the interest magazines have in including the schedule. Quite frankly I'm amazed it gets any viewers at all. |

Totally agree that I'm surprised people watch it.
BT don't want you to think about it as they are chasing subscribers. It's just a shame it's taking up space on Freeview as quite frankly it's worse than the shopping channels and as others have pointed out, only broadcasts because it has to. Until football realises that the public won't pay (which sadly they will) the bubble wont burst. |

BT Showcase
To be honest the Barca games have been good tonights and the one in the group stages with that shot thats worth looking this up and really concentrating to get the free channels.
I read on the Daily Telegraphs news article that only 200,000 as opposed to millions watching on ITV sport. They where suggesting putting the whole competition behind a paywall but that is a bad move. I would only churn bandwidth (25GB 15 GBP EE / month sim deal) for british teams so after the quarter finals it would be bye bye for the majority of british fans if it isnt already. |

If you have an iPhone or Android device, http://www.live-footballontv.com/ have an app which shows all football matches (no rugby, sorry). You can configure it to write to your calendar so you can see all the matches on BT Sport Showcase (and all other channels). I'm not sure how far in advance they update the Showcase details though... currently only showing tonight's match.

Sadly suspect this is the norm these days, given how the f1 is going behind a pay wall as well.
The next time these rights come up you can rest assured that Sky and BT will bid even bigger, meaning the chance of a FTA broadcaster getting anything will be nothing. I guess most people have just forgotten about it as if your team doesn't play in it, then it doesn't have much interest. It only really appealled to the casual viewer because it was regular top level football on the TV. How does the ITV highlights show rate out of interest? |

If my calculations are correct, Champions League semis won't be FTA.
Maybe one leg of the Europa. Then if is just European football finals, and Rugby Premiership Final. |
