Apologies if mentioned already. She was a guest on the show today and they did'nt mention Corrie once haha !

She also seemed very "hyper". Sprouting 100 words a minute and wildly laughing manically for no apparent reason. Maybe it was just nerves. Maybe.

As a Girls Aloud fanatic, I can inform you that she has always been quite erratic during interviews and has got worse since she had her personal troubles a few years ago.

I think it is horrible the way people have laid into her. It reminds me of pack mentality. It is a shame Coronation Street let viewers dictate their show, just because they do not like someone.

She did talk about Corrie. It wasn't during her main interview but while she was helping out cooking. I don't watch Corrie, they showed a clip of her and some man having diner in a restaurant or something? She said that it is her mums favourite soap and so when they offered her the role she couldn't turn it down. She also said that she thinks the way they film is insane because they do five episodes a week so there is no room for errors etc and it was very different to when she filmed St. Trinians

Something she and the presenters said annoyed me; that people criticising her acting were just "being spiteful" and nasty. Wtf? Are the viewers not allowed opinions on what they're watching anymore? Do we all have to pretend that hilariously poor acting is good so we're not considered to be spiteful? If anyone was falsely criticising Sarah's acting because they dislike her for some reason than oh dear, how petty of them, but I think they're in an incredibly vast minority. Surely most of us said her acting was terrible because, you know, it was terrible.

A good post, srhgts. The opinions of the majority of viewers should be heeded by the programme makers. We are not all enamoured with Z list celebs, we want trained actors/actresses on stage who can portray the character they are given.

What has this woman done to annoy7 people? She seemed pleasant enough to me and more likeable than Cheryl.

She was on This Morning and she was surprisingly nice and funny.

She even joked about her Corrie appearances. I also think Eamon fancies her.

She was fast-forwarded into a role in Coronation Street, with no audition and in front of trained actresses - and she can't act. Does that answer your question, haphash? .

She was probably afraid that Dim Lovetoy or Simon Rimjob would be all over her like a Vic Reeves thigh rub

I didn't mind her in Corrie. Had she only annoyed 7 people she would probably have been asked back, especially if Robert becomes a more regular fixture.

No it doesn't. The acting business is rife with nepotism and people getting parts over others just because they have a 'name' or are well connected. You can't blame her for taking the chance if it was offered to her. There are thousands of talented actors and many never get a break, you certainly can't waste time worrying about it.

She was ill advised to tell people that she didn't audition but for a small part in 4 episodes they obviously thought that she would be good enough given that she has acted before.

She's acted in other stuff and she was no worse than half the corrie cast

Indeed, the success of Threads may be stalled by threads on her time in Corrie!

BIB: If only! Perhaps if the writers/producers did let the viewers dicatate the show we wouldn't have to put up with the absolute tripe they serve up to us every episode.

Sarah Harding may be a lovely person in real life and maybe even a talented singer but there's no getting away from the fact that her acting on CS was abysmal.

You've not seen her on Corrie but Denise VO was worse

I've seen them both and Sarah wins hands down as being the worst actor not only between those 2 but than anyone EVER.

They don't, it would be a hell of a lot better if they did though

It's more to do with the fact that they hired a "celebrity" instead of an actor and she was enough of a media whore to let them.
