Okay so it looks like Eastenders might be getting more gangster based in the future. I for one think that Claudette would make an excellent gangstress. What do you think?

Could be interesting seeing her in that role.

Ronnie as a gangster, yes. Claudette should be manipulative, dark and mysterious but I can't see her beating up Phil.

That would be great - I think a Fish Mooney of Gotham and Violet Kray hybrid would work really well.

Yes, that could work. Lynda Bellingham was a surprisingly effective gangster in the Bill.
Les could be her cross dressing enforcer, The Gussetwrangler. |

But would the likes Phil Mitchell be scared of a woman though? Doubtful. He's not even scared of men who are half his age and stronger than him. But I would love Claudette get the better of Phil somehow. Or Claudette taking on Ronnie would be great to see.

Do you think an affair storyline between her and Phil would work?

I don't want to see Claudette at all. Daft character who is not worthy of screentime.

Instead we will have to do with Claudette. Hopefully because she is a women her inevitable 'owning' scene will not be instantaneous. Think of Fish Mooney in Gotham as others have said. |

I think she'd work well as a Ma Baker type.

She's great as a matriarch who has connections. I see her as the kind of woman with a hard side who uses her charm to get people to do her favours. I suspect she will never get her hands dirty but have enough 'muscle' in her wider social group to do the hard graft for her.
I think a lot will also be implied and off screen - like someone harms Donna and in the next episode the person in question is in hospital with two broken legs - we never see Claudette instruct the deed but the audience are aware she's responsible. There's danger in the unknowing!! |
