Phil beating up Vincent was not realistic come on this guy is old, fat and Vincent is the young cat on the scene who could of had Phil. I dont understand why the producers have done this

There are the fat attacks again get over yourself, seriously?

He blind knocked him out, size doesn't matter in that case, and since when is 50+ old?

I agree, he's not fat.

Sick of reading about Phil being fat. He hasn't been fat for a few years. Phil beat him by catching him off guard then sticking the boot in so Vincent couldn't respond. Vincent will get his revenge. This feud they have will go on for a long time.

Phil is a mechanic, a job that requires strength. Vincent pulls pints. Plus Vincent is in his late thirties/early fortie, not that far behind Phil. We never see him working out or eating healthy. We know he likes a nice kebab,

Maybe a little, but it was an adrenaline rush?

It's tedious already.

Phil isn't fat, but he is a big guy and a punch from him would carry a lot of weight behind it. Also, he caught Vincent off guard so was bound to hit him to the ground.

Just because Phil is over 50 doesn't mean he is physically incapable of punching someone

Didn't realise Richard is 43. Not sure how old Vincent is supposed to be though, probably late 30's. He certainly looks like he works out even though we never see him. He is gonna be fitter than Phil but Phil shouldn't be underestimated which is what Vincent's mum tried to tell him.

He's not fat or old but he is a sneaky bully creeping up on Vincent like that, he would have no chance if it was a fair fight.

Richard looks much younger than 40s. He's aging very well.

I really don't see the issue. There have been plenty of hard men in their 50s able to take down young pretenders to the throne and I see alot of ageism here

People in their 50s can be alot healthier than younger people.

Which is why he did that way. We saw what happened last time Vincent saw it coming, he ducked and dropped Phil. Phil made sure that didn't happen again.

I could buy the off guard argument if Vincent was to retaliate, go after Phil and dish out some of the same treatment but it doesn't look like that's going to happen any time soon going off the spoilers. So this is more 'Phil always wins' BS.

Yes he learned from last time Vincent is quicker, so he made sure this time.

He's gonna bide his time. It would be too easy to give him a beating.

Which is why any time I hear that TPTB are promoting a new villain or hardman entering the square my heart sinks and I just think meh, another inevitable 'owning' storyline for the Philth.

How long before Gavin is destroyed?

I give him a couple of months.

Dull.

Dull.

Dull.

Exactly and besides most 'fat' guys regularly carry a lot more muscle then slim or skinny guys not to mention i have heard of blokes aged in there 60s who can still have a punch up.

Obviously if Phil didnt catch him off guard, Vincent would of slaughtered him.

Did anyone get a feeling that when Buster was looking through the door that they may team up, it's like he gave Phil the go ahead "go on beat him hard I won't say anything*.

Well he did lure him into it. The element of surprise is a big deal in this scenario.

Whats not realistic is him not doing this in the first place.

I got the feeling buster looked amused/pleased even like he was happy phil beat vincent up. It was like he was happy because phil is old like him and hes teaching the young ones a thing or two something like that.
