Hi, a quick question about Youview with BT Broadband.

If I was to take the BT TV "Starter" package (as shown here on the left) which comes with a Mini Youview box, which is not capable of recording programs, and later purchased a full Youview+ box which can record programs, could I plug the new Youview+ box in and would it all just work on the subcription I had? Thanks.

I think I seen people report that this worked for them. You could check / ask over on BT's own user support forums. I am on the basic TV package but that was before the starter package with non-recording box was introduced.

I wonder if that might be more compatible than a bog standard YouView box?

Makes no difference apart to maybe where you are place in rota for firmware updates.

Wouldn't it be cheaper just subscribing to the entertainment plus package and getting the free pvr and the additional premium channels?
