I have been with BT from the year ".". I have Option 1 £17quid for line rental and £25quid for 10GByte Broadband and have free calls to certain numbers so i pay about £126 for a quarter. I see that they advertise the Basic package Broadband part for £5/month. Am I paying too much or got this wrong somehow? Thanks.

Yes you are paying massively too much for broadband. Call them, complain and threaten to leave - they will drop your price.

You are paying far too much...I pay less than you a quarter for Infinity 2 & anytime calls including line rental.

I have now worked out that I have a free calls package and that over the last bill they came to £68. So effectively my bill was £126 - £68 = £58 which gives me those calls, line rental and 10GByte BB allowance. That now seems reasonable. Ive now got to ensure I do not go over 10GByte as that costs £5.60/GB. The only other supplier in my area is I think the Post Office - don't know what the're like. Does that equate better for you chaps?

If it's £58 a quarter then that is a bit less than £20 a month, and as line rental is £17, you are only paying £3 for BB and a call package so that seems reasonable.
