He has said that this is unconfirmed and things might change but it is highly unlikely that there will be any iPhones from 2013 and 2014 being sold once the 2015 devices are released.”

Thanks for that reply and the support on the "Bored with iPhones" thread, sent you a PM to thank you properly mate

After reading that post and knowing my iPhone 6 will probably be getting discontinued next month it has left me in a position now whether or not to sell it on eBay and put the cash towards the iPhone 6s or just keep my iPhone 6 and get the next one when it's released in September 2016, I will wait until 9 Sept and see if the iPhone 6s is worth the upgrade first like.

Weren't iPhone 6 and 6 Plus only released last year? How can they be discontinued in just 12 months?

My pal has said that Apple only want the THREE 2015 iPhone models available for sale in September, the iPhone 6c is going to be the "budget" option whereas the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be the "flagship" devices.

It is like the iPhone 5 that only had 12 months life before being discontinued to make way for the iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s. It makes more sense for Apple to discontinue the iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in September rather than have FIVE (iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6c, 6s and 6s Plus) models available for sale.

Thanks for the message pal it was appreciated, although I 100% disagree at what you have posted here like, Tom don't be so daft and stupid as to sell your iPhone 6 that you have only had for what 4 weeks just to get the iPhone 6s, I mean it's only 12 and a bit months until the iPhone 7 will be out so just wait until then mate, as I have told you I have no desire or intentions of getting the iPhone 6s as I am VERY happy and satisfied with my iPhone 6. Plus you will be proving @Stiggles and @dellzincht were right about you being shallow, which us Scots are certainly NOT.

In a nutshell, and in just two sentences, you have hit the nail squarely on the head.

To the OP.. yes & no.. Apple will stop production of the 6 & 6+ Around about now to allow them to ramp up 6S(+) production. I'm sure you'll still be able to get a hold of them after September though. The 5C is dead in the water.

Apple fans should know when the next iPhone will be released. If you only got your iPhone 6 four weeks ago you should have known better. Proper Apple fans wouldn't be seen dead with last year's model. Ive seen posts like this before sadly.

Does that mean we shall now see some "decent" iPhone offers as they look to clear the old stock?

It was very very unfortunate that I had to get the iPhone 6 on 25 July. My iPhone 5s was stolen (had no insurance for replacement) on 6 May and I hated the Sony Xperia Z3 that I got as a replacement. I knew I had two choices either put up with the Xperia Z3 for another 8/9 weeks or sell it while it was in a "New" condition and get the iPhone 6, which I chose the latter.

I suspect your pal knows no more than the rumour sites. Fact is that run of the mill Apple employees are given zero advance information. If they were given information then the rumour sites would no longer be rumour but "fact" sites.

Although, strangely on this forum it is those that claim to not be fans of apple that seem to be the most obsessed with them.
