It really annoys me when posters have to start comparing soaps..this thread is about Emmerdale not Eastenders not Corrie..stick to the point...

First a plane lands on the village, then a copter, what next?
My money's on a zeppelin.

Let's be honest it was pretty bad but it's not like they could do it for real.
I did think the plane crash years ago was better, it was more about the affect rather than seeing the majority of the actual crash. This one looked like a toy helicopter going into a paper house, and it looked awful small when you saw it actually in the village hall, still dangling and somehow managing not to bring the entire roof down. I was a bit disappointed, especially considering it's the biggest event in the show history- apparently.

This was just stage one of the stunt. The explosion etc that it creates will hopefully give us the dramatic stunt scenes we're looking for?

How could it be since the House Collapse was better

I expect Emmerdale to be the best at these things so was genuinely shocked at how awful the cgi was. It was cringeworthy and looked like a remote control helicopter in one scene then like really bad graphics from the 90s in the scene where it was meant to hit the roof. Brookside's helicopter crash showed that not relying on cgi gives a more authentic looking result. Still I'm enjoying the rest of the episodes even if the idea of Val and Diane being locked in the maze is ludicrous.
