Sully, what a great post and a delicious sense of irony. Who'd have thunk it?

Corrie is full of caricatures - it's not just the gay characters. To be fair, I don't think Todd, Sophie, or Billy are caricatures. Not like Sean, Liz, Mary, Norris, Kirk, and countless others.

I wouldn't say Todd is particularly bitchy. He's nasty and scheming rather than bitchy.

Gavin Ferris was Bernice's fella when she first arrived, he had an affair with Jason Kirk and was exposed as a love rat.

But seriously though why is Corrie homophobic? I thought it was set in Manchester which is meant to be the gay capital (after brighton) so isn't it a bit unrealistic to have three (the rest being lesbians)?

Maddie Heath (2013–)
Billy Mayhew (2014-) <<< NOT HOT AT ALL”

You obviously haven't watched in a while as Maddie was killed off two-months ago.

This is more to do with looks rather than if they are good characters.

Don't see how Todd or Billy are unattractive anyway.

Fail to see how it is homophobic as a number of the producers are gay themselves (and even the shows creator who by the way played a part on Sean Tully's creation).

Todd is a great example imo for corrie. His sexuality has not defined him. Only his horrible attitude and actions.

It's all a matter of taste i guess.
Robert sugden is a Sexy as a chewed up wellington boot to me.

As for Manchester being the next gay capital after Brighton - what has that got to do with whether anyone finds gay people sexy ?

Why are Coronation street homophobic because you dont find the gay characters hot ??

What a totally ridiculous post.

ps None of the Eastender crew do owt for me personally.

To be fair there's not much CS is good at anymore so why would the gay thing be any different?

I'm liking it the most at the moment, closely followed by Emmerdale.

EastEnders is horrendous rubbish.

Emmerdale: you forgot Vanessa, who will have sex with anyone who happens to be available when she is so inclined - Rhona, Kirin, Adam, the prize bull at Butlers Farm. .
