I think if anyone dying is obvious it will be Val.

1. She has left the show already

2. Her final scenes air sometime between start to mid august.

3. So much foreshadowing with all the comments that she is a 'dead woman walking', she 'wouldnt be seen dead in this dump' etc

4. She's planning to fake her own death, in the SAME episode as the stunt....

If Val survives the wedding day and the fallout, Emmerdale will be the best show for red herrings ever

I don't think Ruby will die. I noticed Sandy giving her a look the other night, when she was talking about not being able to give up work to train as a nurse. I thought maybe he would help her financially. Who knows though?

It will be a terrible shame if Ruby is killed off. She has spent months on end void of storylines serving coffee and cakes in the cafe, I fear the outlook is undoubtedly bleak for her - I hope I am wrong!

Alicia Eyo is a fine actress and hasn't yet been given the opportunity to shine as she did so brilliantly in Bad Girls. Both the actress and the character will have been criminally wasted if Ruby succumbs to the disaster.

A few unspoilered comments have revealed but I haven't seen anything about her dying. I hope not, I just can't stand the thought of Fiz emoting all over the place.

Though it might allow fiz and ty to get out more - oh, hang on, she doesn't seem to stop them at the moment.

Wrong soap, wrong Ruby

Um... I think you have the wrong soap...

I hope not as she is the best character within the failed Spencer family. I even prefer her to Dan who is generally considered to be the best one. The show is teeming with nasty and unpleasant characters, the last thing it needs is to lose someone who is likeable.

I also think killing Val off would be a huge mistake. Although she can be irritating at times, she's a modern legend of the show which is running short on history. I'd even go as far as to deem such a decision reckless after Terry and Viv, Donna and Katie, and Robert becoming a psychopath.

Charlie Hardwick also said her final scene that she filmed was with Liz Estensen and Chris Chittell. Wasn't there one last night outside the B&B?

Ruby seems to have made the mistake of planning a future by thinking about training to become a nurse - planning a future in a soap and seeming happy normally means you're not going to be around much longer - both Kal and Maddie were planning their futures in CS the week they died (Kal proposing to Leanne and Maddie looking for a flat with Sophie).

I think Ruby will rush to help people since she wants to be a nurse and die a hero saving someone.

I hope Ruby doesn't die,she has been so underused.

I don't even watch ED but I've been reading the spoilers and the odd post for my Mum I told her DS thought it was Ruby and Val ... 1 down 1 to go ...

The poor actress that played Ruby. Such wasted potential. She's been in it ages now and has never had a decent storyline. Hope she moves on to bigger things.

No offense made. I was just wondering. As I've seen Marcus who was in Corrie play gay people in other things too. And he's gay in real life. I guess it would be easy to play a character that has the same sexuality as you. I admire actors that can play gay characters that are straight in real life. And vise versa.

I'm pretty upset over Ruby's death, to be honest. She was by far the best of the Spencer family - why not kill Dan or Ali off instead? Why not do something a bit shocking and kill Amelia off to give the Spencer's something to really get their teeth into?

I dunno; Ruby was a nice, warm, normal character, whereas Ali bites your head off just for saying hello, and Dan is thick as. Annoyed they chose her to axe over the others, especially since the actress is far superior to the rest of her on-screen family.

Why not Marlon? I was absolutely delighted to see Marlon get caught up in it all, rubbing my hands with glee, hoping this will be the end of him... then he was the first out as soon as the episode started. FUMING! It completely ruined the episode for me before it even began!

I thought it was more funny then scary. I mean a huge helicopter with fuel hits a building.....and only 1 person dies?

Well apart from pilot of course. The thing was full of fuel i would have thought it would have exploded on impact or at least gone right into the room blades still turning....muuhhhaaaawwaaaa.

They got debby out of the wreckage, and transported her to the hospital and still yet no AMBULANCES arrived at the scene?

I think Emmerdale has had far too many disasters lol.....it must be a very unsafe place to live or its full of whackos.

So now Ruby has gone to the great cafe in the sky where does that leave Ali?? Shes been in Liverpool with her son for months. Why couldnt he have been transfered nearly to Emmerdale ??
