No, she never. She said she felt 'maybe' they had run their course, but then goes onto say that Ali and Dan will be grieving over the next few months, so clearly they're staying on the show. She meant the Spencer family needed a shake up, or to put it bluntly, they've ran out of ideas of what to do with them, so did the easiest/cheapest/laziest thing by killing one of them off - they probably chose by doing ip-dip-doo. Like I said, they chose the wrong one to kill off; every comment I read on here, Facebook and Twitter about Ali are all negative; none of us want her at the forefront of the aftermath. They've done the character absolutely no favours in the four years she's been there. We barely know her, never shows any warmth... at least they slotted Ruby into the community with her working in the cafe, thus connection with Bob and Brenda. Ali has absolutely nobody and will now cling onto Dan and Kerry... no doubt Dan and Ali will be revisited sometime soon - Kate Oates is loving her affairs at the minute.

Ooh, do we have our very first Marlon fan by any chance?!
Why are you on a soap forum if you're so against people expressing their opinion? We're all here to discuss what we like and dislike about characters and storylines; I suggest you log out and don't come back if you don't like it

I imagine that Rachel will go to liverpool with Ali. Amelia could stay with her dad and Kerry. Hopefully Archie will go with them.

Does it matter?

Ali isn't going anywhere.

Taken from Kate Oates interview:

"Ruby's death won't be without its repercussions, as the grief of her wife Ali Spencer will be explored on screen.

Oates confirmed: "You will see Ali again. That character group needs its pain and Dan's got some really hard news to break. Dan's going to struggle with that because he couldn't save Ruby. I think we saw Kerry handle that situation brilliantly and Dan go to pieces. He beats himself up over it in the coming weeks."

I thought Marlon was lovely last evening, he took charge of the children, which was something that needed to be done. We cant all be hero's.

That's good then. Kerry really stepped up to the mark. And it means we get to keep Amelia. Great.

My prediction is Diane is the next one. In the promo trailer behind the scenes she said "you will need tissues that's all i'm saying on the matter". This indicates she will die and Val will do the decent thing, for once in her life and will face her punishment.

"Marlon" and "lovely" don't belong in the same sentence together.

If I had my way, another helicopter would've crashed into Debbie's house, and this time Marlon wouldn't have been so lucky. If that meant the kids had to go, too, then sorry, kids...

I jest - I couldn't do that to the lovely Sarah, you'd never guess she was the child of Andy and Debbie, would you? Fantastic actress, too, really got a chance to shine in that scene and she did! Happy for her

Did you notice Marlon was the first one to crawl out and run away. I know it is the writing, but that sums him up ! I really do not like him anymore.

He knew Zak, Aaron, Chas, Cain and Victoria were all still inside and yet he decided to run home and send the mother of his child to go and help out instead. He's a vile coward.
