I'm pleased you're enjoying the show but, as I mentioned in my previous post, a lot of people I know really are not.


The main problems that they tell me about are:

+ new characters that they find dull and don't care about.

+ awful storylines that fail to engage the interest.


Blackburn may love the show and may be trying to do his best for it and that may well be good enough to satisfy you and ensure that you enjoy it and are entertained.


However, for anyone with a different view he is totally responsible for the state that Corrie is in. His name is on the credits and he is ultimately responsible for what the viewer sees on the screen.


He may not have come into the show with the intention of wrecking it and he may think that his "vision" and the storylines he has worked on have been top notch but, personally, I think he is woefully inadequate in the role and has certainly produced the worst overall set of storylines since the 1970s when I first started watching.


With every other producer I can point to at least one major plot thread and say that I enjoyed watching it and that it engaged my interest. With Blackburn there are none.


The sooner ITV wake up, see what damage he is doing and replace him with someone that can actually do a decent job the better.

The thing is just coz she is perfect on emmerdale don't mean to say she has what it takes for corrie, everything she's done on emmerdale worked well for that soap but if she did it all on corrie it may not work, you need to do what works for the soap, Brian was apparently good 1st time round on hollyoaks but useless 2nd time round so everything has a time and place to make a success

I believe the only 2 soaps who have the best people in charge are emmerdale and eastenders, they have both turned the shows around, granted they are not always perfect but much better than what they have been in previewers producers
