When Absolute changed over from it's previous identity, the bosses said that one of the main things they wanted to move away from was that V*rgin was seen as "white-van-man" radio, especially with the breakfast show, but with his matey persona, and constant ad's for vans, builders merchants etc, I'd say it's moved totally the other way.

Then why not turn it off??

Well, the 3 songs he does manage to squeeze into every half hour, when he finally shuts up, are usually cracking. One thing that Absolute have always had going for them is the playlist.

Back on topic, I miss Geoff now as, leaving work at 5.30, I'm home before he starts ”

Me too I'm gutted I won't hear Geoff going home as I leave at 5.30 Danielle Perry should have just replaced Andy bush in my opinion and kept Geoff at drive time as drive time needs to be filled with banter like the breakfast show I remember when daryl Denham was moved from drive time and replaced by kelly on Virgin I was gutted then too I like to hear things that make me laugh on the way home after a long day at work as well as the music

To those with issues with Geoff's new timeslot, just get the podcast. It's so much nicer to listen to the show without interruptions like news/travel/ads, and be able to listen to the whole show (there's good stuff in the last hour, and who's listening to the radio between 8-9pm?).

Wow, talk about horses for courses. I HATE Geoff and Anabel with a passion. Her voice is so singsong and annoying. Her postbag section is the worst thing of the lot - made worse by him guffawing as if she is uttering the funniest words ever. Ugh. Then they try to pretend they are really thicker than anybody could actually be " Who reads a book on a plane? " "yeah when there's a film to watch" or "who eats their dinner at the table? " "yeah, how would you be able to watch telly?"

It has to be dire circumstances for me to listen - ipod left at home, no CDS in car etc

Christian and Ritchie? Have me in stitches every single morning.

I can understand that people have different tastes (hence my horses for courses comment)

Presumably you can't.

For someone who hates Geoff and Annabel with a passion you seem to know a lot about the show

.”

And presumably no other radio stations are available in your car in these "dire circumstances"?
