I actually feel sorry for her even though this whole disaster is her fault but it just shows how one stupid in the moment mistake can have such tragic consequences. I think Robert is to blame partly for this because he drove her to it. I predict she may end up going mad with the guilt.

Me to. In a court of law I would ease up on a tougher sentence. Arson and manslaughter.

So its Robert fault for own her actions all because he cheated on her etc? I feel sorry for her in a way but ultimately she responsible for her own actions did Robert put the lighter and petrol in her hand?

They'll cover it up somehow and be bound together by that secret.

Robert will threaten to tell the truth about the fire and explosion unless Chrissie complies with him.

Couldn't Lachlan be partly to blame also by coming up with that lie Robert went along with so she take him back and Lachlan telling her the truth because he tampered with Lawrence medication to get even with Robert, since that seemed to push her over the edge

Again Robert caused Lachlan to take action. Then again that creep doesnt need a reason.

I've got a funny feeling Chrissie will confess (even though Robert would no doubt tell her not to and offer to cover for her as a way of working his way back in), partly so that he doesn't have a hold over her, and partly because she's actually really moralistic. She didn't hesitate to call the police on Lochlan when she found out the truth because it was the right thing to do, and he's her son, so if she'll make him face up to things, she'll surely have no problem doing so for herself. The villagers might turn on her in their grief initially but come to realise it was an unfortunate badly timed accident, and she will either be punished or leave for a bit to sort herself out and get away from everything.
Spoiler

Really couldn't have cared less for Chrissie a month or so back, but I've been loving her since the reveal.

Not sure it was necessary to pile this onto her (the responsibility of the deaths) as well as everything else, but the writing's been great for her lately, so I'm excited to see where they take her from here.

Really hoped the Chrissie/robert characters would one of the ones killed in the crash.

Cannot bear the Chrissie/Robert stuff. The two actors who play them are not very convincing in the roles.

Chrissies acting tonight was one of the best I have seen from her. Her make up (lack of) and emotion compared to the heavily made up "Debbie no dirt" was brilliantly conveyed

I was very impressed with the acting from the whole cast, but Louise Marwood was one of the ones who really stood out tonight. Her devastation at causing the whole disaster was so believable she made me feel so sorry for her.

It's annoyed me that they've put this on Chrissie's shoulders. Now whenever the truth about Robert killing Katie comes out, Chrissie technically can't say anything about it or Robert can just say "well you're responsible for Ruby and Val's deaths..." as if they've leveled her down to him. They've made her kiss Cain while he was having an affair with Aaron, now this. Otherwise, I've loved this week.

Well said. Yes, Chrissie may be hurt, but she only has herself to blame. If she wanted revenge on Robert, she could have done something else, rather than setting fire to a car. Cut his clothes up, cut off his money. She did not need to set fire to something.

She'd go down for this, in anywhere but soap land.

The usual hopeless soap police will be on the case shortly and close the case shortly after.
