EE: Will Shabnam ever reveal this?
EE.Live
06-08-2015
I know that the Lucy Beale storyline is still going on and there are still things to be answered directly (e.g. why Billy has Lucy's photos) but will Shabnam ever bring up the note?

Tamwar found a note saying 'ROT IN HELL' at Lucy's funeral and Shabnam asked him if he recognised the handwriting. Whitney admitted that she wrote it since Lucy bullied her and after that Tamwar told Shabnam not to worry about the note and he binned it. However, Shabnam picked it up from the bin and that was the last we had heard/seen of it (Monday 26 May 2014)

Obviously it could have just been a way of putting Whitney in the frame of killing Lucy and I doubt Shabnam will still have it a year later (or even remember it) but it seems a bit strange that the note has never mentioned again.

Any ideas if you think this will be revisited or do you think there's no point bringing it up since the viewers know Bobby killed Lucy and it would just put Whitney in trouble?

If this was real life it would have escaped Shabnam's mind completely considering everything that's been going on. This would be the kind of memory that would need a strong trigger (like Tamwar mentioning it) to bring it back into her mind.

Billy had a crush on Lucy and that's why he had the photos, the card and reason your correct as far as I remember ... and all among the many red herrings.

Although it hasn't specifically been revealed why Billy had the photos, it was implied that he had a crush on her. Since that was in the flashback episode I'm sure they will bring up that topic however Whitney's note hasn't been mentioned for a year

I think Billy was passing pictures onto Kathy.

Phil didn't know Kathy was alive at that point

How do you know that? I don't remember Phil saying when he found out.

Phil said [in Live Week]:

"Whilst I was inside.... I found something out".

Or words to that effect, implying he'd only found out recently.

I assumed he did.

Billy sending photos to Kathy would be a great twist but I think that's unlikely as surely there would have been more variety. Some of Peter and Bobby for example.

But the note could quite easily crop back up. Considering what Shabs has gone through, it's no surprise she forgot something so minor even if it was part of a murder enquiry. Perhaps she'll come across it again?

Ah. I've been meaning to make a thread of this myself!

But yes, with everyone else's dirty laundry coming out bit by bit [if not oddly coherently with how Lucy's last night went], then I hope Whitney's also comes out. It's one thing to hate someone, but to write and leave that at a person's funeral is disgusting.

Not sure how it could crop up in Shabnam's mind now, though, not with all the things occupying her head atm.

It's Denise's part in it all I'm looking forward too.

Yeah you know that EE Trailer about the suspects (the slow-mo one with the moving eyes), why did it show Denise going under the floorboards in Ian's house? As far as I remember it was only ever Jane and Ian who knew about that, Denise had nothing to do with it. Or am I wrong?

I'm not sure we'll hear about it again, I've really enjoyed the Lucy storyline as a whole but one of the worst aspects about it is lots of plot points have been added seemingly to put someone innocent in the frame, which are then completely dropped. As well as the note there's also Billy and the pictures and Ian sleeping with Rainie, all of which are very implausible as it stands and only served the purpose of putting the involved characters in the frame and as a result have not been developed or explained in the way they should have been, and none of the actions have had any bearing on how these characters act or others act towards them (apart from Ian for a bit after it was revealed he slept with Rainie but that seems to have blown over now, that's probably the part of the storyline I understand the least, why would a fight with his daughter lead to him having an urge to sleep with a prostitute, especially one he knows - in the flashback episode he seemed almost annoyed to see Rainie so I don't understand why he'd continue to sleep with her). It does decrease the quality of the storyline as a whole, but at the end of the day it is a soap and not a crime/mystery programme so I guess we can't expect too much.

Maybe after an argument about wedding cake, Shabs sends it to Carmel.

That could be possible since Billy knows. Maybe he and Phil have known for longer then we thought. I find the billy fancing lucy was cringey.

As for the note, its just another loose end! I wonder if she ever found out whitney wrote it as tamwar never said at the time.

Did we see any of the scenes from that trailer happen in the show? For example, I know Lucy's phone was found in the allotments but if I remember correctly, it wasn't Peter who found them even though he was digging there in the trailer.

All of the plot points in that trailer came to pass but just not in the exact way depicted apart from Jane's perhaps, who was seen tending to the boot of her car, which may have been a clue.

The pictures of Lucy in Billy's were explained I thought?

He said they were Peter's who kept looking through them. He said he hid them as Peter was getting upset and it was upsetting Lola.

Billy claimed that that was the reason but he binned the photos and seemed dodgy after Pam found them. Also in the flashback episode it seemed as though he liked Lucy but it hasn't been brought up (however he did deny liking her in that way in his police interview)
