She does look taller but I guess it is all in proportions. I always thought that Kate Middleton was shortish/middle height until I paid attention to relative heights in photos, and she is actually really tall.
I read somewhere that there is a visual triangle (I think top of head to shoulders) that basically makes someone appear taller/shorter.

Regarding the names, I actually knew of all of them even though the two soaps stars I had to see the photo to recognise them.

I love seeing a man with great hip action . Mostly they are either too aware that it might look 'too girlie' so they never get stuck in , or else they just can't master the physicality of it .
