Taylor Swift - Wildest Dreams is the next single?!

I can't believe it, other than the totally channeling Lana Del Rey it's a nothing song!

She would've been so much better going with something like I Wish You Would or I Know Places, the video could've been so so dark for that one. And so poppy for I Wish You Would.

Sorry if this has been posted before, I'm just in shock!

Should have been Out of the Woods.

Good choice, it's one of the strongest on the album with good lyrics. Who knows she may remix it a bit to make it more commercial than what it is currently.

I agree Out of the woods should have been a single though - last December.

I love Wildest Dreams. I think it's one of the better tracks on the album (which is a very good album).

Bad Blood was a weirder choice in my opinion.

I don't think so, given that it's supposed to be about a well known pop star. That publicity has been massive for Taylor.

I'm not keen on Wildest Dreams.

She has just turned into Katy Perry.

I thought Bad Blood was a ludicrous single choice, but she proved me wrong completely. I think, as someone above suggested, she might do a slightly reworked version to make it a more exciting single.

All You Had To Do Was Stay would have been the more obvious choice for the next single though in my opinion. And music bloggers/journalists/gays on Twitter seem adamant that New Romantics would be an ideal single but I don't really agree there.

Wildest Dreams has actually charted in America already if I'm not mistaken? It already seems popular so I think it should do well.

I'm still of the opinion that I Know Places would've been an ideal choice, especially given the hysteria over her relationship with Calvin Harris and her apparently singing it to him in her concerts.

Would've been an awesome video if he starred in it with her too!

That's the only reason I can think of for why they picked that as a single. Musically speaking, not all that.

I think what's good about her 5 1989 releases is how different they all are.

"Bad Blood" was the track that everybody was talking about in the reviews and posts about the album upon it's release only because of who it's rumoured to be about. I can't stand the reworked version of the track. I do agree though that the lyrics really sound childish.

All You Had to do Was Stay should be a single at some point too, definitely. Wildest Dreams is a strong single though, for a late summer Teenage Dream-style song. It probably won't go #1 but is the kind of thing you wouldn't switch off, so should stick around the charts for a bit.

Totally forgot about Clean too, that's would've been a good alternative to Wildest Dreams for a slowed down single. I can see why she's wanting to go for a slow song after Bad Blood, but as much as I love Lana Del Rey, there's only one of her!

Frankly, it's a cracking album.

I think how you get the girl would've been a much better choice.

I love Wildest Dreams but never thought of it as single material. Then again, I thought Bad Blood was the only dud on the album.

I would've chosen I Know Places

I personally think that All You Had To Do Was Stay and New Romantics are stronger songs and would prefer them over Wildest Dreams but its not up to me

Wildest Dreams is just taylor doing a not so good Lana Del Rey impression. Funnily enough, Lana has new material on it's way very soon as well. I like Out Of The Woods, though I think it sounds a lot like something Haim would do, but wasn't it a promo single already?

All You Had To Do Was Stay would have been my choice as well.

"All You Had To Do Was Stay" or "How You Get The Girl" would've been better choices in my opinion.

Just listened to the 90 second itunes preview and I think it sounds really good! All her videos have been on point so far this era, so as long as it doesn't have a cheap tour-footage vid and an actual clip with a storyline then I can see the song doing well.

I wouldn't be surprised if Calvin did a remix for it. Like a Spectrum or Summertime Sadness scenario.

I am not keen on this song to be honest. I prefer 'Out of the woods' However, at the end of the day it is up to her what songs she prefers to release as singles. I am not a fan of Taylor as a person, because she does come across as entitled and spoilt, but she is a talented person and releases good music. Red and Blank Space are brilliant songs. I hope her new song does well for her.

I personally think Wonderland would have made a great single, with a video where she plays Alice, with a 21st century themed wonderland.

I like Wildest Dreams but I'm not excited about it as a single. For one thing, my opinion on the video is it should be something like the Style video, but it'll probably be something ridiculously mismatched to the song. Since Blank Space her videos have been poor.

Out Of The Woods is my favourite off the album, but that was a promotional track so obviously she wouldn't have chosen that. I'd also like New Romantics but...well that's a bonus track so same thing! Clean or This Live would be nice choices I think, to follow the atrocity that was Bad Blood.
