Song Help

Hello!

Hope the mods will be ok with this, but feel free to remove this thread if it's unsuitable. But basically, am looking for these 2 songs, but struggling to find what they're called and who did them.

One of the songs I heard during 2005 on this radio station, though am not sure how old the song itself is. Only remember the first part that I've tried replicate on a keyboard here (including roughly how the background accompaniment goes - might not be totally right, though: https://soundcloud.com/alex-graham-56/whats-this-song-called-tune-1-with-background-accomp & https://soundcloud.com/alex-graham-56/whats-this-song-called-tune-1 (without background beat).

I also remember the song was sung by males and from the rock or pop genre.

Another song I'm looking for is an instrumental Classical piece that I heard in the car ages ago. Again have tried to replicate the parts I remember, but like with the song above, some of the melody may not be quite right: https://soundcloud.com/alex-graham-56/whats-this-song-called-tune-2

Have tried Shazam, Soundhound, Yahoo Answers, Wat Zat Song?, Musipeadia, Lyric Finder, without any luck.

Any help is appreciated (even some of the actual lyrics I could Google would be enough).

The first one reminds me of Kasabian. I find many of their songs sound quite similar and often
with parts somewhat similar to what you have. This one seems most like it I think...

This is also from an album released in 2004 so fits the time you heard it. If it is not this it may
be another from the album (their debut).

Recognised it straight away, and you were very close with your guess.

The song in question is Processed Beats by Kasabian.

Haven't a clue about the second song though. Classical music isn't something I listen to a lot so I didn't even recognise the melody.

If the classical piece is on a harpsichord then get a copy or go through the tracks on Bach: The Well Tempered Clavier.

Glenn Gould is popular.

Ar dude, you're brilliant! Been looking so long for that. Yep, that's exactly the track I was looking for.

The beginning part where the beat comes in is a bit more Percussion-y than I remember, but still pretty much as good when I first listened to the tune 10 years ago.

@degsyhufc Not sure it might be any of those, but will give them try just incase. (the actual song if I remember uses some kind of guitar or harpsichord-like sound).

Thanks for all the help so far guys/girls.

Aah that's the one then. Good job. Btw OP you did great replicating that from memory.

I imagine you also have the other very close too but I do not recognize it.
