I will not believe Ross is dead not even from official statements.

He will be gone when Pete goes back.

It wouldn't be a waste. It would be a blessing

I can't believe Ross has been killed, am SO upset!

I refuse to believe it, he got too much life left in him as a character to just go that way, especially from Pete's hands.

I actually hope he is dead as there's not a lot left for the character to do now.

His storylines all consist of the same thing and even the Moses angle is redundant as we already have a similar situation with Cain and his son. That's far more interesting.

Ross has always felt like Cain lite to me anyway.

Killing off good characters is waste. Say what you like about Ross but he did bring drama.

We all know in soapland when anyone bangs their heads on a rock or piece of concrete it means they are a dead un

it was pretty poor of that was his exit, he literally slipped banged his head. Survived nearly drowning, dies like that. Nope don't believe it. They hinted too much in spoilers about a body being found Pete panicking, I reckon Mike's just taking a break and they're acting like he's left in time for a shock autumn/winter return. Also all through the episodes theyre were little hints that suggested he may be a live like, Aaron not feeling Joanie's pulse and then Pete couldn't find Ross' and the way the body was so poorly hidden. There's rivers etc and he hides him under some twigs, asif!

There really wasn't much more for Ross to do without his character getting very repetitive. The actor will do well in other roles I think. That's if he really has left

I don't see how he can't not be dead.
He had a hard knock to the back of his head, got punched in the face a few times, was slung in the back of a car for goodness knows how long - Pete had to work out what to do, went to change his clothes and then drove to a wood somewhere - he was thrown down a slope and then covered up with branches. Prior to that he jumped off a cliff and must have been knocked out as we saw him motionless in the water for at least a few minutes.

If he returned after all that it would be almost farcical.

I heard the thud his head made.

The actor who played Carl King was one of the show's strongest actors but Carl was killed off.

He was also a crime wave.

I suspect that when Pete returns to bury the body properly, it wont be there.

I don't think he is dead, there was no goodbye video or interview from Michael Parr.

He changed his clothes afterwards and he wasnt knocked out in the water he swam to the bank and passed out from exhaustion. He did hit his head hard but its possible he was simply K'Od put in the boot, might have roused passed out again, because he looked like he'd possibly moved and then is covered with leaves. Anything is possible if Dirty Den can survive being shot and falling in a canal in EE then Ross can survive that lol

He has, a brief instagram video on the emmerdale facebook page but not a behind the scenes video or anything like with the others

I believed it right up until Pete buried the body under....leaves.

If that isn't a ticket to an almighty comeback I give up.

But maybe it's wishful thinking.

Very dramatic twist if Ross is dead as he has been one of Emmerdale's main characters for 2 years. I didn't buy claims that Ross and Debbie were the new Cain and Charity though

However, the amount of characters killed off has maybe been slightly excessive and I wonder how the aftermath will go

That would be the case if the producers see sense and kill off Skank Charity.

Its confirmed.

If they don't find the body he could do a dirty den in the future.

Yes, he (Pete) changed his clothes after he had put Ross's body in the boot of his car. I thought it was before he dumped him in the woods, but it was probably after. Either way, Ross was in the boot of the car for a while.

Did he?
We didn't see that; we saw the lake with no sign of life, then we saw his body, then a little while later, he coughed and spat out some water. How do we know he wasn't knocked unconscious and washed up on the bank?

Except that Pete did feel for a pulse, then jumped up in alarm and backed off. He also picked him up twice - once to put him in the boot and once to throw him down the slope. Surely he would have noticed if Ross was breathing?

That was EE though.
Has ED ever had a story line where someone has been badly beaten, left for dead and still survived? Kim Tate was reported dead and then came back, but we saw Ross being pushed, beaten and dumped.
