Hollyoaks have a very distasteful attitude towards surrogacy and adoption. You get the vibe that they only view blood relatives and birth mothers as those who really matter. It was obvious from the start that Esther wouldn't keep the baby and if the event would happen that Esther snuffs it or goes into a coma etc, then Hollyoaks would find a way to prevent Grace and Trevor from getting their baby and showing Frankie for the vindictive bitch that she is
