In the pub where Eric was, when the news update came on the tv, it still said 2 dead. Val had died quite a while before so surely by then the breaking news would have changed to 3 dead!

It should have said unconfirmed reports of fatalities seeing as the police had only just arrived, but it's a soap so it doesn't matter. These streets, squares and villages aren't the most realistic of places thank God.

No because no one knows Ross is dead apart from Pete!

Ruby, Val and the helicopter pilot are the 3 people died in the village.

Seems like wishful thinking from the Ross fans on here. Social media have confirmed Ross is dead.

Why no interview with Michael Parr? The other two actors had interviews released straight after the episode.

Surely the real Emmerdale mistake was in allowing Marlon to survive?

I'd have thought the two were pilot and co-pilot.

There is an interview with him on Emmerdale's Facebook page.

There's a goodbye message that lasts 15 seconds. That's not an interview. The other two have had lengthy interviews which DS has posted.

I know it was the same with the tram driver in Coronation Street when the tram came off the viaduct and crashed into the corner shop. 🚁 🚎 😥

i know it's awful but I burst out laughing watching that bit when you saw the tram come hurtling off the track into the shop. I know it was meant to be a serious moment but I couldn't help myself it looked so funny.

It was the roaring sound effect that really polished it off. Whoever signed off on that needs a good slap.

I couldn't believe they killed Ross. I was half expecting that when Pete covered Ross with greenery and walked away Ross opened his eyes ! Now that would have been good !! Ross could then have stalked Pete and Debbie and caused mischief without anyone knowing!

Also, since she was bleeding and didn't know she was about to die, surely Val would have called out to the rescue workers to warn them that she was HIV-positive?

I still have hope that Pete returns to the scene and notice Ross his body is missing, which means he's still alive. Ross coming back to the village eventually. Please, let it be true.

Indeed.

I'm not a Ross fan but I'm skeptical that he is really dead. If he certainly was, they would have been an interview straight afterwards.
Not saying he isn't, he might well be but there are leaving room for doubt.

Re thee 'mistake' on the News, i think they try to wait until the next of kin have been notified before releasing details. Also, it might have been rolling coverage, so the same news report.

That said, it is weird nobody in the pub commented on it given how close they must be.
