What do you reckon?

I think definitely not, regardless as to what Mike Parr has tweeted!

I think no. He'll show up in a few weeks.

Maybe it's wishful thinking but he just can't be dead.

I wish he was but obviously not.

Pete buried him in a bed of leaves. He's obviously going to wake up and emerge with ease.

You could be right, the fact that he didnt bury him could mean he will go back to finish the job a few days later and notice hes gone.

There's a video of Michael Parr saying goodbye on the official Emmerdale twitter but they're probably just trying to trick us.

I actually wouldn't mind if he is dead. I liked him to begin with but his storylines have become repetitive and even the Moses angle is redundant due to the similar situation with Cain and his son.

Even if Mike Parr has left, the door has technically been left open. He will be back.

I think Michael Parr has left the show - but the show have cleverly scripted a "death" for the character which can be "retracted" at any point in the future should he decide he wants to come back.

Of course not. Betting he will be back in the autumn before those leaves that were placed over him have gone brown.

I think if Ross Barton is dead that its nearly as big a travesty as the killing off of Carl King ffs!

Out of Barton boys, Ross by far is the strongest character.

Because it would be the biggest mistake Kate Oates had ever made.

Not convinced. For me it would be a bigger twist if he actually was dead. He'll be back. Probably in about 8 weeks which I make ohhh. . October time?

Possibly because it doesn't make sense killing off a character that has such potential.

After this awful Debbie affair I almost wish he was, but nope - this seems like such a fake out to me.

He didn't even get a proper goodbye video like Val and Ruby did. He got a 15 second instagram video. For one of their most popular characters? As if.

I hope Ross is still alive. He is/was the best character in ED and it would be such a shame if the producers decided that they had gone as far as they could with Ross

If they have killed him off instead of Pete or one of the other more boring characters that is a terrible decision by the producers. The way its been left though he could still come back.

I hope he is, it's more hard hitting this way. I don't want to see him wake up

Not if it was the actor himself who wanted to leave.

Okay - she "appears" to have killed him off
- big drama
- big fan reaction

But the reality is - his death has been decidedly ambiguous
Door left open should he wish to return

Didn't Kate Oates say in an interview that they'd only kill those who they could afford to lose? Ross is definitely NOT in that category.
