I've been listening to this excellent jazz pianist.
He died in 1988, at the age of sixty-three, respiratory failure and cardiac arrest in New York City. I'm surprised he lasted that long, considering his long-term heroin addiction.

Here gives a sensitive rendition of the classic jazz standard. "Too Late Now."

Many other examples of his work on YouTube.

Thanks for posting this, i liked it - the sound quality was good too.

This is the tune Out Of Nowhere from 1974, which he recorded with Double Bassist Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen ("The Great Dane"):

Here he is earlier in his career with Warne Marsh (one of my favourite Tenor Saxophonists), playing the tune S' Wonderful:

Glad you liked it and thanks for the other links.

N-H O P, certainly "got around a lot," didn't he?

He turns up as a "side man" on quite a few of my CDs.

He did, i like his tone & phrasing, he seems to have been well respected by many jazz musicians.
