The spice girls are BACK
the spice girls are reuniting next year for their 20th anniversary but minus posh, the girls have left the door open for her but she don't want to do it as she's too busy. Front page news in the sun tomorrow and all over Facebook. Hope to god this is true and not just a rumour as it does seem true

Just been reading this - seems like Beckham hasn't given a definitive "no" but it does seem like it'll only be a matter of time.
I guess the most they can hope for is if she can commit to the final show they do as it'll likely be the final show they ever do together. |

Shouldn't this be in the Showbiz thread, rather than the Music one?

Seems strange for her to post her love for the spice girls only not to be part of it, surly even she must understand that if it wasn't for the spice girls she wouldn't have the life she has now, she needs to respect her last and celebrate what made her and appreciate it for what it was, she needs to do this, she can say all she likes that her diary isn't free but it's a long way away and she can do it, unless it's all secret that she will be part of it and it's just a publicity stunt.

Who can blame Posh for not wanting to comit?
The last time was suppose to be their greatest hits tour, but then it turned out to be the Olympics. Now it's their 20th anniversary? What next. I loved the spice girls, but come on, Vic is above all that now. |

Not having Victoria there won't be much of a loss, all she did was sing a few words and pout.

Terrible news they were bad enough the first time and the times they have come back since. I don't blame Victoria for wanting no part of it unlike the others she has a career.

I don't blame Victoria for not going back, it's obvious her heart isn't in it anymore and she has a busy and successful career. Let's be real the other four girls *need* this reunion a lot more than she does.
I'm actually a bit fed up of all these reunions now, it's frustrating because all that happens is that they get back together for a tour and then break off again and go back into oblivion, I wish these reunion groups would actually release new music and try to make it again in the charts etc. The tour is all just a money grabbing scheme and I'm over it |

But this is a big moment for them, how many bands do u know that lasted for 4 years and the world still go crazy for them. She needs to remember her roots and know that without them she wouldn't be where she is now or be married to the man she is now, it's made her life what it is

Somehow it doesn't seem like The Spice Girls unless it's all five of them. When Geri left the group originally it wasn't the same anymore. They didn't last a lot longer either, without her, although I think their final album was atrocious anyway! Shame if Victoria won't be involved but she does have a successful career as a fashion designer now so I can understand her not wanting to get involved again. People always go on about her not being able to sing. I actually think she has the best tone of voice out of all the Spice Girls. She just doesn't have a very strong voice but she has a nice voice. Melanie C has the strongest voice but she can sound really nasally and strident at times. I've never rated Melanie B's voice that much but it's ok, I guess. Emma has a pleasant voice but, like Victoria's it's not a strong powerful voice. Geri was always the worst singer by far, in my opinion. I don't know if she's improved in recent years or not but I always thought she was pretty much tone deaf! The group were fun though and had some catchy songs like Stop, Spice Up Your Life, Say You'll Be Mine, Viva Forever and Too Much. Those are my favourite songs of theirs. I remember meeting them in the foyer of the Royal Albert Hall after the National Television Awards in 1996. It was just before Say You'll Be Mine was released and they all seemed so wide eyed and innocent back then. They were all so excited to be there and were so thrilled at having such a huge hit with Wannabe. They all posed for my camera, which was very cool and guess what - Victoria was SMILING in my photo, haha! A lovely big beaming smile!! She has a lovely smile, shame it's rarely seen in public these days. Dammit, was that really 19 years ago already?! Where has the time gone?!!!

Also are you Steps fan as it's Say You'll Be There, not Mine. (I love both songs though.) |

Agree about Victoria, Mel C and Geri. Geri has worked on her voice a lot and is better than she was back in the day. (She was always my least favourite so when she left it didn't bother me much.)
