Finn I can just about understand - but Gillian Kearney does not look old enough to be the mother of Ross, or - and especially - Pete.

Gillian is 43. Ross looks at least 30, and Pete looks mid 30s.

Finn 20 I think Ross is 27/28 Pete in his 30's

Finn graduated from university a few years ago so he surely must be 23 or 24.

I reckon Ross was a couple of years older and Pete maybe late twenties?

I think it's assumed that Pete is about 30, Ross 26/27 and Finn 23/24 given that he graduated from Uni a couple of years ago.

Gillian Kearney is only 43 and IMO could only be aged up to 48 realistically which would make the character 18 when she had Pete, which isn't entirely unrealistic.

Pete, and even Ross, looks more suitable to be her partner.

Gillian might be 43, but Emma's about 47.

James doesn't look old enough to be either Ross or Pete's father. Very noticeable in joint scenes.

As a viewer it just is. Lots have said so (not here), Reality may be different.

How old is chrissie meant to be, Robert is 29 and there have Ben a few scenes where he has been referred to as a toyboy plus Lachlan is 15 yet she only looks early to mid thirties herself.

You can tell they're trying to age up Emma just by the way they style her hair

Really? I think James looks like he is about 55. he looks old enough to be their dad..unlike Emma whose probably 5 years older than Pete IRL

Pete doesn't look like he's in his 20s at all - he looks at least 35.

And Robert looks early 20s.

Personally I think James looks even more plausible as Pa Barton when he's stood next to the stunning Emma!! She looks so young it makes them totally mismatched as a couple!!!

She's well kept but looks older when she in "mean" mode.

I don't think she looks young. She doesn't look decrepit but I'd easily believe mid to late40s.

Emma was very young when she had Pete.My sister's 44 and she could pass for 30, yet I've known people who looked very mature in teens and twentiesi.

I think Chrissie is 40ish
